Few hours earlier at the Jorn's

Daniel all beaten up, Paul grabs the ice while Will helps put him on the couch as Aero gives him a hand too.

"Second time he's done something reckless like this," Aero says, sighing while looking at Will.

Will takes a seat on the other couch that's there, "Pops died and people keep testing us. Connect the dots on why this shit keeps happening."

Paul slaps the ice onto Daniel's stomach, "Yeah, well, pops dying doesn't mean to go getting bloody every couple of days. I know grief does things to you but I'm getting tired of playing mister nurse."

Aero looks to Will then Paul only seeing what he just did with Ayla a few minutes before they came home, "Danny is like that because he was close to pops. He is the baby after all," Clearing his throat, he makes sure Daniel doesn't have worse wounds than his face and holds his head leaning back thinking of Ayla again.

Snippets of what went down replay over and over but when Will said something to Paul, it snapped him back to reality.

"I meant what I said earlier. Cut it off with her."

Paul raises his hands up, "Fine you pain in the ass."

Will closes his eyes then says, "We should let Danny take a few days off from the books. Maybe just keep things close to home instead of going local for now."

Aero nods, "I mean the club has been doing good, Chad gave us our cut. There were about a couple hundred, maybe more. I haven't checked it fully."

Paul laughs low, "We always do good with Chad but we do need to expand."

Will shrugs, "Just hope whoever we deal with aren't assholes like the ones at Chad's club."

Aero drifting off into his head, he brings up the deal with Ayla in the first place to get a better understanding of how bad it is...how bad she is.

"Why? Why is she such a hot topic between you and Will?" Paul asks, narrowing his eyes at his own brother.

"It's a simple question that's all."

Will looks to Aero, "I have my reasons on it. Why do you?"

Present time

Chad sees that I have already left as I folded the blanket neatly and left the pillow on top with a thank you note I wrote on a piece of napkin.

Wanting to get something warm to drink I get a hot coco at this place near his apartment while warming my hands at the same time holding it.

Checking the time on the wall clock in the place, I see it's almost time for the club to be open.

Leaving a tip, I make my way over, holding myself as a cold breeze hits my face and body.

Walking, I hear a motorcycle, getting the idea that it might be one of the Jorn's that are becoming a problem for me.

Turning a bit, I see it's Paul instead of Aero or the other brother that wanted to control my powder intake.

"It's freezing out, you shouldn't be walking with just a long sleeve and some sweats," He calls out.

I shrugged, "I'm fine," Still walking, I got to the club entrance, leaning against the wall.

"I didn't pick up your call because we had a family thing, also  I kind of told Will I wouldn't sell to you."

Rolling my eyes, I sniffled as the cold air hit my nose and snorting little white lines doesn't mix, making it runny.

"Yeah, I'm all good," As I say that, Chad arrives and I kind of pretend Paul isn't there when he does.

"See you around then," He calls out, leaving, having Chad get out his car and look at me confused.

"What was that about? Paul Jorn? He's not as polished as Aero and Daniel."

I sip my hot coco, "Is that right? What is polished exactly?"

Chad shrugs, "He's like Will, rough around the edges but cool just not when you cross them."

Laughing, I smiled low joking, "So the Jorn's all have different kindness meters? Who would have thought?"

Shaking his head letting me in first, he turns everything on, even the heater, while I go to get ready.

"Ayla," Chad says before I close the bathroom door while grabbing my outfit for the night, "Yes?" I say holding it cracked open throwing away my cup that I was drinking from.

"Don't get mixed up with them. I may work with them but I've seen what they're capable of. It's not safe."

Shrugging, I say, "You know me, I'll be okay."

Nodding, he walks off to the bar and I lock the door while freshening up then doing a few lines wiping my nose catching myself in the mirror feeling disappointment wash over me.

"You're fine," I tell myself now lifting my leg up to lace up my heels.

Time passes by fast as I get a few drinks in me to balance the high with the competence of dancing tonight.

"Number four," I tell the sound guy as the other girls struggle to get ready on time.

The curtains start to rise as I hit the stage and the music starts playing. Closing my eyes, I get in rhythm with it while now being more in tune than I have in awhile. Opening my eyes, I see Aero walk in with Will while Paul is arguing with Daniel, who had to be the youngest as he had some innocence to his demeanor but kind of hard to tell with the bruises on his jaw and right eye.

"Fucking bitch," Capri mumbles to me having me being in the mood to whoop ass.

Lori sighs, "Let's not, we were late," Moving to the song now, Lilac scoffs, "This time I agree with Capri."

I lick my bottom lip nodding smiling before I turn back ready to swing on both until Juniper gives me a look from the crowd.

Looking at her then the girls, I nod, getting off ripping the pearls she has us wear every performance and throwing it to her feet, "I'm out. Kiss your cash cow goodbye and try to make those three bring in more than I ever had," Putting her cigarette down, she picks up the pearls and throws it back at me, "You'll be out when I say you can," Getting closer she holds my face but sees the crowd paying more attention to us then Lilac, Capri and Lori.

"No, go ahead, don't stop now," I say pissed but she lets go sitting back down.

"Go get high and maybe overdose yourself into a hospital so I don't have to see your face for a while."

Scoffing, I walk off but before I do, I spit in her drink then go out to the alleyway to do another line but have it taken by Aero this time.

"Don't start this bullshit," I groan, trying to reach for it.

Raising it up more, he says, "You're hooked Ayla."

I hold my head then sigh, "Just give it Aero," Reaching again he tosses it, having it land in the trash that was there.

"You fucking asshole!" I go to get it until he stops me.
