Waking up with my skin sticking to the heart shaped booth from the heater making the inside warmer than it really was outside, I sat up wiping my face seeing Chad the bartender walk in with one of the guys from last night's fight.
"Tell Will he can't be throwing fists every time someone gets on his nerves. He's a smart motherfucker but a hotheaded one."
The man nods, "We just lost our pops, it's taking us some time to readjust and get back out there if you know what I mean," rubbing his chin, he looks and sees me there.
Chad looks up from getting something under the bar counter near the cash register.
"She's cool, that's Ayla," Giving me a head nod, I nod back and get up stretching only being in last night's outfit.
"Aero," He says, sitting waiting for Chad to get whatever he came for as I approached the bar stools to sit too.
Rubbing my eyes, I look for my eye drops but see I'm empty as I grabbed it and saw nothing inside the little bottle.
"Shit," Laying my head on the counter, Chad then reappears with a huge duffle bag handing it to Aero and then a beer for my headache.
"Thanks," I sit up, downing it a bit then flick the bottle cap looking to the cracks in the liquor shelf behind Chad.
Aero grabs hold of the duffle bag but stops looking at me, "How come you didn't leave with the other girls?"
Shrugging I drink more of the beer, "They don't like black sheep's like me around," Not wanting to say anything else, I got up tapping on the counter telling Chad I was heading to the back to freshen up.
Minutes later Aero heads out and motorcycles rev like last night then goes silent a little bit after.
Locking the bathroom door, I hung the new outfit I have to put on, onto the stall door, turned the faucet on brushing my teeth with paste and my finger then took a tank lathering it with hand soap to take a bird bath since there's no shower here.
Next was my hair as I just fluffed it with water then hairspray hoping the glitter makes it more appealing.
"Can't forget breakfast," Taking the clear baggie out, I make a thin white line on the bathroom counter, rolling up a dollar bill to snort it.
I sniffled a few times before cleaning up and getting dressed only to be met by the door by Juniper.
"Jesus," I say as she catches me off guard.
Sizing me, she folds her arms, "You just won't let up," Tilting her head to the side she then reaches for my hair until I back away, "You won't ever be ready like the other girls," Getting closer, she grabs hold of the back of my neck looking into my eyes, "And lay off the damn powder. You're looking more of a cracked out whore instead of a seductress I taught you how to be."
Releasing me out of her grip, she lets the other girls get ready, having them look to me disappointed.
Fixing my hair, I cleared my throat heading to the main floor getting ready to practice for tonight.
"Number thirteen," I tell the sound man as I get on the stage and he sets up.
Music starts going and my body follows along, closing my eyes.
I didn't even notice time went by until Chad started serving drinks to the regulars that came in.
"Real fucking nice," Lori says to me as she sees my eyes tinted red.
Bending down to tighten my shoes, Capri walks on stage with Lilac patting under her eye to set the makeup she applied.
"If you two are going to argue," Capri looks at us both, "Wait until after we get suitors and get megabucks. I'm striving for a steak tonight since Juniper has her men on strike since Ronan and her are fighting again, which means no home cooked dinner."
Lilac scoffs, "As if you like her cooking."
Lori shrugs, "When Allen is there the food has some type of seasoning."
I chuckled then sniffled right after, "You all three are so fucking brainwashed it's ridiculous," Walking off stage going to the main floor, they get in position without me.
Making my way to the bar, I ordered a cranberry and vodka with ice.
"More vodka than juice," I tell Chad then hold my head as it throbs for a second.
Someone sits by me and when I look to the side I sigh with annoyance.
"Fucking shit," I hold my head more, "What? What do you want Ronan?"
Sliding an envelope to me, I snatch it to see cash inside.
"Money? For what? A fucking psych evaluation? Think it's a little too late for that, don't you think? Especially for Juniper, this girls, you."
Skidding it back, I grab my drink and sip it.
"You shouldn't be staying here every time she locks you out the house."
I laughed now looking at him, "Want to know something? I would rather stay here than accept dirty money from you," Getting up I go towards the back entrance of the stage until someone bumps into me.
"Tonight just keeps getting better," I mumble, then seeing the person only to feel my heart stop.
"If you would keep your nose clean and lay off the drinks then maybe you could watch where you're going."
Scoffing, I nod, "Keeping an eye on me? For what? Don't you have motorcycles to ride?"
Before they could answer, Aero, the one from earlier, walks up.
"Daniel said Paul got into it with some other crew by the alleyway, it's looking like a brawl is about to break loose."
Knowing it's my cue to leave, I head to the stage then make the sound man change the song.
"Not this shit again," Capri says, having Lori and Lilac move off stage to watch from the main floor.
Juniper walks up now cigarette in mouth, "That song again," She says puffing out the cigarette smoke.
All three girls nod while watching as I dance to the pain I had inside me...one they became oblivious to.
"But everyone else seems to enjoy it," Lori looked around as all eyes were focused on me.
Capri orders a drink sitting, "There goes all our suitor's money," She says, holding her head watching me get more into it as the beat strikes me harder as thoughts flash bit by bit.
The song keeps going, making me catch one specific person's eyes, allured by my movements, along with Ronan who now pulls Juniper away for a minute.
