When a tree's leaf falls from its branch, does it feel guilt? Is it disappointed in itself for not landing its leaves in all one pile? Do trees get disgusted by their own mess?

The answer is no. They have no brain.

But humans do.

Humans can feel guilt. They can try to think about others and not make messes. Humans can learn from their mistakes.

Unfortunately, not everyone takes advantage of those abilities. People leave shit on the floor for others to trip on.

Yes, trees can't think. However, when a leaf falls, you can see what type it came from.
