Author's Pov:

Rose was busy with her work in the café when she was interrupted by a loud, cheerful voice coming from the door. She instantly knew who it was.

"Hii, Rosii Posiii! What are you up to?" Eva exclaimed, twirling Rose around with a wide grin.

"Calm down, girl. I know you're the craziest creature on Earth, but maybe look around before you start making noise," Rose said with a smirk.

Eva glanced around, only to find several people staring at her with a "Are you crazy?" look on their faces. "Oh, let them stare! I just wanted to meet you, bestie. Come on, let’s go have some fun!" Eva said, still beaming with excitement.

“I’ll join you after work,” Rose replied, a bit sadly.

“You and your work! Why don’t you just date your job, huh? Well, whatever. I’ll be off now. See ya!” Eva waved goodbye and left.

As Rose watched her leave, she thought to herself, “Oh, my dear ‘Eva Crazy Miller,’ I still wonder how we became best friends—her being such an extrovert and me the introvert.” Shaking her head, Rose returned to her work.

Meanwhile, Ryan sat in his office, engrossed in  some files, when Rose’s face flashed in his mind. A soft smile crept across his lips as he recalled how she had looked when he helped her, her innocent expression tugging at his heart.

Her big, shiny doe eyes anyone could fall for. Her small, naturally pink lips curved in a sweet smile, and her baby-like face and flawless figure. She was the very definition of perfection.

The moment he touched her soft, cotton-like skin, it sent a sensation through him that he had never felt before. It stirred something deep within him, a feeling he couldn’t quite name.

His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden cough. "Where are you lost, Mr. Workaholic? This isn’t like you. Tell me, who’s occupying your big brain?” Aaron teased, smirking.

Aaron had been Ryan's close friend since school. To stay close, he had taken the job as Ryan’s personal assistant, though he was much more than just an employee. Aaron was one of the few people Ryan truly trusted.

“Nothing, Rony. Is your work done?” Ryan asked, shifting back to his professional demeanor.

"Yeah, but if you need help with anything else, just let me know,” Aaron replied.

"Good. I want you to go to The Berry Cloud Café and check if everything's alright there," Ryan instructed.

"Okay, but why that café?" Aaron asked, curious.

“Just do as I said. I’ll explain later” Ryan said, returning to his files. Aaron nodded and left the office.

As soon as Aaron was gone, Ryan muttered to himself, "I wish I could visit her, but this work will never give me peace."

Aaron made his way to the café on foot, as it wasn’t too far from the office. While walking, he noticed a cute girl skipping down the same path, brimming with excitement. A smile took its way on his lips.

As she approached, she suddenly tripped on the pavement and was about to fall when Aaron quickly grabbed her from behind, gently tilting her to prevent the fall.

“Are you okay, miss?” Aaron asked, genuinely concerned.

“Ye-yes, th-thank you,” she stammered. They both quickly straightened up, realizing the awkwardness of the situation.

“I’m Eva Miller. Nice to meet you.”

“Aaron Carter. Nice to meet you too. Just make sure to walk more carefully next time, or you might fall again. I can’t be everywhere, you know” he said with a slight chuckle.

Eva looked down, embarrassed. “Yeah…”

They both parted ways, but something about their brief encounter lingered in the air.
