Ch.25 A suspicious girl

Author's POV:

In the past few days, everything that had happened brought a sense of clarity to Ryan's mind, giving him a rare feeling of inner peace. Roselyn's love provided him with much-needed relief. However, deep down, he remained afraid of the unpredictable consequences that might unfold. Still, he felt prepared to face whatever came his way and was willing to fight anyone for his love.

At the moment, Ryan was in his office, focused on the latest files. The company's success was soaring, and he noticed how well things were going. Suddenly, a thought struck him. Grabbing his phone, he quickly dialed his private investigator (PI).

"Send me every piece of information today via email," he ordered.

"Sure, sir," his PI responded.

"Also, increase security around the office campus," Ryan added. The call continued briefly, and after giving the instructions, he returned to his work.

Elsewhere, a female voice came over the phone. "Hello Travis sir, I just saw Damien he walked right past me" she reported.

"We've all seen him. Tell me something new, for god's sake!" Travis snapped.

"But sir, let me finish," the woman said excitedly.

"Fine, go ahead, I don't have time to talk all day," Travis replied impatiently.

"Sir, you'll be pleased with this fresh information. You'll be praising me," she said confidently. "I Caught Damien with a girl. Did you hear that? He might be in a relationship with her."

"What? What do you mean? He doesn't have a sister... so that means he's dating," Travis was shocked.

"Yes sir, How can I help further?" she asked.

"For now, take a picture of them together. Make sure the girl's face is clear. They won't suspect a woman. And don't get caught like my other men, understood?" Travis instructed.

"Understood sir," she confirmed before hanging up.

Meanwhile, Ryan and Roselyn were on their way home when Ryan noticed a girl snapping a picture of them. Although he felt suspicious, the fact that she was a girl calmed him. He approached her.

"Excuse me, why were you taking our picture?" Ryan asked gently, hiding his deeper suspicion.

"Oh, I'm so sorry for not asking for your consent!" the girl replied with a warm smile. "I'm just a tourist here in New York, and I loved seeing your bond. You make such a cute couple."

Hearing this, Roselyn blushed and spoke up for her love, "Thank you, but please take someone else's picture. My man isn't comfortable."

Ryan looked lovingly at Roselyn, and they walked away, with their hands molded together.

The girl, satisfied that she had successfully taken clear photos, left quickly, smirking to herself.

"Here you go, sir. I've got solid information on your rival. " the girl said proudly, showing the pictures to Travis.

Travis scanned the photos, smirking but soon started to scan the picture very very properly every single inch of the picture from top to bottom with furrowed eyes, "W-what is the name of this g-girl?" He asked stammering a bit.

His men were shocked as hell as they first time saw their boss Stuttering on a picture
"S-sir, calm down, I didn't ask for her name as it would get personal so they might suspect me" The girl explained the situation being all shocked to see Travis Stuttering. Travis released a deep exhale as he was relieved but something was taking place in his mind.

The girl in the picture seemed very familiar to him she looked like a long lost loved one but he shook the thoughts off as he knew that no one can now distract him. As he wanted to focus on Damien he only wanted to kill him because he always brought hurdles in his business or better say his 'dirty businesses'.

"Love can bring anyone to their knees" he said, followed by an evil laugh. "Now Damien will learn what happens when you mess with Travis Quinn."you repeated the same mistake Damien, getting attached, The way you want to take revenge for your mom because you loved her Whole heartedly, it was so dumb of you to fall in love as you can risk her life too" Travis spoke to himself smirking.

He continued, "Killing my men was a foolish way to find me Damien, you've been a pain in the ass, you were always there interrupting my business, You should've let go of the grief of the death of Amanda. But you are still trying to take revenge on her death, that would get you down. Now, I will find you and kill you before you can harm me or my other man, I know you can burn the world for the people you love." Travis completed thinking how Damien or better say Ryan did everything he could to take revenge of his single mother because he knew no one would help him but money did help him.

"Sir?" the girl interrupted.

"Pay her whatever she asks for," Travis ordered, rolling his eyes as he addressed his men.
