Ch.17 Damien?

Ryan's Pov:

I took a deep breath as I came out of her house. I don't know how I am still alive after listening to her confession, after confessing her myself. She tried to kill me with those pretty and catchy eyes you can't take your eyes off. The kiss we shared. Her soft peachy lips touched mine. The love she gave me at that moment. I was still lost thinking about that pretty face.

I was in the car driving towards the company. It's almost noon now and I am going to the company at this time. Well I am the CEO getting late isn't a big deal but still, that rarely happens.

Thinking about the morning incident when I saw her standing at the road near the footpath shouting her name as I saw a speeding car running towards her honking loudly and she was just near the car and was about to get hi-

I stopped the car with a sudden force and started to breathe heavily. Just thinking about that incident sends shivers down my body. The way she mentioned death I couldn't control myself from kissing her.

I took a sip of water wiping sweat droplets from my forehead I started to drive again. I just want to forget that traumatizing incident because I am already scared of these thing. That one nightmare of mine will never spare me. That one incident I went through 5 years ago is going to haunt me whole life. This is the reason I am scared to love someone. This is the reason today's incident affected me badly. We are finally dating but I am scared. Scared to lose the one I love.

Mom... I miss you. My eyes started glistening making my vision get blurry. I took deep breath blinking my tears away.

I shook all the thoughts away focusing on the road and soon reached the building. There stood Aaron waiting for me at the door with a concerned look.

"Why are you so late and why didn't you pick up the call just look at the missed calls I almost gave 20" Aaron said in a concerned tone.

Shit my phone, I think it's non silent. I grabbed the phone from my pocket and removed it from silent mode.

"Aaron, let's talk in my cabin" I was still breathing a bit irregularly and sweating too.

"What happened, Rey are you okay?" Aaron held my shoulder and took me inside the building. We walked towards the elevator and got inside. He pressed the 30th floor button on the elevator and the elevator started to lift us. We both were only two inside.

"Please Rey, tell me what happened you are just scaring me, what is it Rey. You are not scared of anyone now why is your condition like this" He asked in a heavy voice, clearly he was tensed seeing me like this. It's because he knows my reality. The reality that no one knows and they never will.

"Huh, calm yourself first Rony, I'll tell you everything let's settle down first" I stopped his continuous interrogation.

As soon as we went inside the cabin I settled at my CEO place. And he sat in front of me looking in my eyes asking me to continue.

I sighed "ok let me just tell you everything from the beginning"

"RYAN FUCKING MENDEZ YOU KISSE-" Aaron shouted on top of his throat but I covered my palm in his mouth not letting him complete.

This guy! Jesus!. I told him not to overreact when I will tell him everything but Aaron being Aaron can't control his crazy ass.

"Yes, that all happened making me shit scared This is the reason I got late, This is the reason I was panting and sweating" I completed.

"Rey!, I - I just can't believe that you kissed a girl. I can't digest that you are in love, and not even that Rose confessed first." He said emphasizing the word 'love'.

"But Ryan, are you sure you can protect her?" He suddenly asked.

This question, it's scaring me.

"Well I guess you know the real Ryan Mendez or better say Damien, You very well know the power I hold." I asked him, emphasizing the word 'Damien' and 'power'.

That made him shut his mouth he looked at me and gave me a single nod.

"No more interrogations Rony, let's get back to work we are already late" I ordered him. He nodded grabbing his laptop from the table and started to go through it.

Rose, I'll protect you at all costs. Because I can't stop myself from loving you nor can I push you away.
