Ch.18 Will I lose her love?

Author's Pov:

Two hearts were thinking about each other. Both of them had the urge to meet as soon as possible but the situation made them wait for long. Not to forget the intense love they share, both did not want to stay far.

Soon the goddess-like face of hers fades away as a voice interrupts.

"Are you gonna focus on work today or are you planning to be lost the whole day" These words were chosen by Aaron.

"Y-yeah, sorry. Pass me the file" Ryan replied.

Trying to focus on work he busied himself in reading the docs. But a thought struck his mind and at the same time Aaron spoke.

"Are you sure Rose will be safe?" Aaron took Ryan's attention. "As far as we both know, your reality is well enough to put her in danger on top of that if somehow she gets to know about it, it's possible that she might leave yo-" Aaron was cut off by Ryan "stop it and focus on work".

Just a thought of her being in danger sends a ray of fear to him. Another thought of her leaving him shatters him.

"You can't just ignore that, it's very important to have conscience, to better be aware of consequences" Aaron completed focusing back on his laptop.

Ryan grabbed his phone dialing his PI. After a few rings the call was answered.

"Yes si-" His PI's voice came from the other side but was interrupted by Ryan.

"Did you check the CCTV footages of the places I told you?" Ryan asked. "Yes sir" The PI answered. "Do you find anything strange there?". "No, sir everything is alright, the streets have a usual hustle and bustle, the cafe had decent visitors, and the garden was filled with kids and birds chirping around freely" He answered. "That's a relief, I'll call you back later" with that Ryan hung up.

Ryan's Pov:

Everything is sorted out, I'll make sure no strange person comes around Rose, I just can't tell her my reality what if she leaves m-

Damien! Think positive.

I grabbed the bottle from beside and chugged a sip of water.

It's a relief that the places she is usually at are safe. I need to pay more attention to her safety.

Jesus? What's happening? I love her so much. If I tell her or she'll know soon. Either way she is gonna disguise me. I can't afford to lose her love, her trust. Attachments are scary.

Shall I call her? Yes!!

I fake coughed "ahm ahm, I just need to use the washroom" I said. "Yeah, but don't talk to her for so long" He replied making me shocked. "H-how do you know?" I asked. "I know you, better than yourself." He said not looking at me, wholly focused on laptop.

I nodded and left to call her.

Dialing her name on the contact list, I clicked the call button. After a few rings she picked up.

"Is my princess okay now?" I spoke. "She is absolutely fine, my prince". She replied making my heart skip a beat.

We talked for a minute or two.

Then I spoke "Princess, I wish I could listen to the melodious voice of yours for longer, but If I don't go back to work, That Aaron is surely gonna kill me" I said, earning a soft chuckle from her.

"No no, I don't want someone to say anything to my prince, we'll talk later" she said. "It's the weekend from tomorrow, how about date?" I asked. "Okay!" She replied excitedly.

"I really want to visit my old café, the one I used to work at, can we go there, please? for the first time, I'll be visiting as a customer" She pleaded. "Sure, love" I said.

"Bye Rey"
"Bye Rose" With that I hung up and went back to work.
