3 days later the conversation with Minho and him, Newt had noticed that Thomas and Teresa had been getting closer recently, and it was starting to bother him. Newt had a strange feeling whenever he saw Thomas and Teresa together.Whenever he saw them laughing together, having a good time, it was as if a sharp pain pierced his heart. Probably the jealousy growing bigger inside of him.

Newt felt relief that Thomas was sleeping in his tent, but still, the fact that Thomas spent most of his time with Teresa during the day gnawed at him like a parasite. It made him sick to his stomach.

It was irrational, he knew that.He had no right to be upset that Thomas was spending more time with Teresa. But still, he couldn't help feeling frustrated and irritated every time he saw them together.

He tried to tell himself that it was just a phase, that Thomas and Teresa's friendship would probably fade away with time. But deep down, he had a feeling that this was something more than just a simple friendship.

He knew he was being irrational, but he couldn't stop the feeling of jealousy and anger that welled up in him every time he saw Thomas smiling at Teresa, or laughing at her jokes.

What if all along, Teresa had feelings for him and wanted to be with him. She didn't knew about them so maybe she think she has a chance. But what if even if Newt and Thomas were together, she still had a chance. What if Thomas got tired of Newt, and wanted Teresa instead.

Newt's thoughts were increasingly filled with worst case scenarios. He imagined that maybe Teresa had feelings for Thomas, despite the fact that he and Thomas were together. He also feared that even if he and Thomas were together, there was still a chance that Thomas would choose Teresa over him.

And what if Thomas got bored of him, and decided that he wanted Teresa instead?Newt couldn't help but wonder if all of these thoughts were based on his own insecurities, or if there was some truth to them.

He thought that, at least with her he can build a family or whatever. Maybe men don't belong with eachother. Maybe men and women does.

Newt's insecurities were quickly spiralling into irrational fears. He was convinced that maybe men weren't supposed to be with each other, that men and women should be together instead.

Taking a walk was what Newt needed to clear his head and distract himself from his negative thoughts. As he walked, he tried to focus on the beauty of nature and the fresh air, instead of dwelling on his fears and insecurities.

As he walked, he saw, to his great misfortune, Thomas and Teresa. He took a glance at them. And for a second he was horrified. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Teresa took a step closer to him, and kissed him. He had no idea if Thomas kissed back, but what he knows is that he didn't pushed her away.

Newt's heart sank as he witnessed the scene before him. Newt felt a wave of anger and jealousy wash over him, but he was unable to look away.

Before he could see anything more, he turned around and left. As he walked away he started to sob. He felt humiliated, betrayed, and angry. He wanted to confront Thomas and Teresa, but at the same time he was too hurt to face them.

As he walked, he tried to calm himself down. He told himself that it was probably just a mistake. That Thomas hadn't meant to kiss her, that it was a mindless impulse.

He wanted to believe that Thomas only had feelings for him, and that it was all just a big misundersranding. But deep down, he couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal and doubt that was gnawing at him.

He wandered around for what felt like hours, trying to make sense of what he had witnessed. He also tried to calm himself down, to stop himself from crying, but it was in vain.

He felt weak, vulnerable, and stupid. He kept replaying the scene in his mind, and each time the image hurt a little more.

He didn't understand how Thomas could have done this to him. They were supposed to be in love. They were supposed to be together. He thought Thomas had promised that he would never hurt him.

Even though it was all probably a mistake, the fact that Thomas didn't push her away stung so bad. Why didn't he push her away? Did he secretly want to kiss her? Was he tired of Newt?

Newt returned to his tent and collapsed on his bed.He felt exhausted and drained from all the crying, but his mind refused to let go of the image of Teresa and Thomas kissing. He curled up in a fetal position and sobbed for what felt like an hour.

When dinnertime came, Newt reluctantly made his way to the dining area. He wasn't feeling particularly hungry, but he knew he had to eat something. As he sat down at the table, he tried his best to avoid eye contact with Thomas and Teresa.

By surprise, they weren't sitting together. Thomas was sitting with Brenda and Jorge. And Teresa was with others people.

He tried to act as if everything was normal, but he couldn't keep his mind from wandering to Thomas and Teresa's kiss.

He poked at his food, but he didn't really have an appetite. He couldn't help but glance at Thomas, who was sitting across from him.

He tried to focus on the conversation around him, but all he could hear was the sound of his own racing thoughts. What did the kiss mean?

He couldn't stop wondering if it was just a one-time thing, or if Thomas had feelings for Teresa all along.

When he finally finished the little food he had, he stood up and walked away. Thomas saw him and called him but Newt pretended like he didn't heard him. Thomas followed him. "Newt! Wait!" Newt stopped and turned arround, tears in his eyes.

As he turned around, he saw Thomas approaching him, a look of concern and guilt on his face. Newt's tears were already threatening to fall. "Hey, you okay? You don't seem so good." Thomas asked him with a soft voice. Newt thought to himself The audacity! But he didn't answered.

Newt raised his hand and did something he thought he would never do. He slapped Thomas.

The sound of the slap echoed through the air.

Thomas looked shocked and hurt, a red mark on his cheek.

"What the hell?" He asked, confusion in his eyes.

Newt took a step back, tears streaming down his face. "How dare you." He shouted, his voice shaking with anger. "How dare you ask me if I'm okay after what you did?" As the sound of someone shouting, people started to gather around them, Minho and Teresa were wondering what was going on.

Thomas looked confused and hurt. "What did I do?" He asked, genuinely bewildered by Newt's anger.

Newt gritted his teeth as the tears continued to flow. "What did you do? You are seriously asking me that?" he shouted as respond, shoving Thomas. "Wow what is going on there?" Minho asked as he walked up to them. "Newt what's happening?" Teresa did the same as Minho.

Newt was seething with anger and hurt. He pushed Thomas again. "I bloody hate you!"

"Okay okay, everyone just go back to whatever you were doing there is nothing to see there!" Minho shouted to make the crowd go away. Minho led Newt, Thomas and Teresa to a secluded spot away from the crowds. Newt was still fuming with anger, his hands balled into fists.
