Not all of us were born in the light
Warrior for nobody, princess of tombs
Daughter of every soul lost to
Paths they cannot follow in the dark

Pull out your sword and engrave on it
The names of forgotten goddesses
Told to you as a screaming child
Scarred into bones still breakable

Dedicate yourself to sacred rituals
Consume of what finds you release
Do not stop taking until you are done
Drink every drop, even if it is poison

Knowing the fates have sealed you in
Decorating your mausoleum with
The last blooms of a perfect summer
A sacrifice for stolen, lonely youth

With just one bite of fruitless seeds
Razed to be so infertile but so sweet
Chewing away at every breath
You have always been so sure of it

Never doubting your immortality
Finding limits is an impossible task
Standing in blazing fires
You find yourself their master

See the moths come out to the flame
Show how pretty the moonlight is
Or let them get too close to the sparks-
But never let the fire go out

Soldier for the other scorned
Make your way to the front lines
Where love became a broken promise
Become their queen
