I met Mako and Raleigh in the bay as they came out of Gipsy out of their gear and looking defeated. "Marshall wants to see the both of you in his office now" I spoke lightly but avoided any eye contact as I set off in a quick pace towards Stackers.

Once outside, I heard shouting and the breathing of Mako and Raleigh besides me. "She can't control her Drift, and he went out of phase first!"Chuck yelled very pissed off making me flinch and Raleigh grabbed my hand in comfort. "We all know what happened" Marshall said loudly but still somewhat calm "We can't afford mistakes. The Kaiju keep evolving, they keep kicking our asses! He's a has-been, she's a rookie. I don't want them protecting my bomb run, sir." I felt Raleigh tense up at this and seen him look over at Mako as the door opened and Chuck stalked out looking ready to kill and it intensified when he looked at Raleigh. "You need to watch your tone, Mr. Hansen." Stacker announced as Herc stood in the door frame "Hey, stay there. Give me a moment." He said and shut the door leaving us there. I looked at Chuck and his gaze softened briefly but became hardened again as Raleigh dropped my hand and stood closer to Mako "You two are a goddamn disgrace. You're gonna get us all killed, and here's the thing, Raaaleigh: I want to come back from this mission because I quite like my life with my wife, you know your sister, the one you deserted?" and Chuck took his hand and flicked Raleigh in the chest as he continued "So why don't you just do us all
a favor and disappear? It's the only thing you're good at." and I grabbed Chuck by the arm as Raleigh spoke up "My sister is a big girl and can handle her own it's not my fault she couldn't handle criticism back then" Raleigh hissed making my heart drop and I felt Chuck tense even more and his look was deadly. "Stop!! Now!!" Mako yelled out as she went towards Chuck and Raleigh stopped her shaking his head "Yeah, that's right. You just hold back your little girlfriend. One of you bitches needs a leash." Chuck barely finished talking when Raleigh punched him the face 3 times and Chuck went to deflect him and punch back but Raleigh deflected him back and punched again then kicked Chucks legs out from under him and punched him again causing blood to come flying out as Chucks head went slinging sideways. "Raleigh Stop!!" I yelled "Apologize to her" Raleigh demanded Chuck as he looked up wiping blood off his face "Screw you" Chuck hissed and stood up throwing another punch but Raleigh ducked down and punched him in the stomach causing Chuck to lurch forward and then Raleigh took his arm to the front of Chucks neck and pushed him against the wall as he threw another punch "STOP IT!!" I yelled Chuck charged at Raleigh and had him against the opposite wall as he threw punches into Raleighs sides and stomach but Raleigh grabbed Chuck by the arm and pulled it back to paralyze him and threw him as hard as he could into the steam lines, as Chuck made contact, they all dented and one even popped open emitting Steam as Chuck grunted in anger and pain and stood back up glaring "Baby please stop!! I pleaded" he didn't listen though as he did a little spin after Raliegh demanded an apology to Mako still. Raleigh grabbed Chuck by the arm and flipped so he had him on the ground with his Arm ina weird angle and after a few seconds my mind registered that he was going to break his arm so I ran at them and punched Raleigh as hard as I could in the face knocking him off Chuck and stood with Chuck behind me as Raleigh came at me "What Raleigh?? Picking your girlfriend over me?? Wouldn't be a first" I glared and Raleighs eyes softened "Brooklyn... I.."and I punched him again knocking him to the ground and then at that moment Herc came storming out "Hey, hey! Enough! What's going on? On your feet, both of you!" He ordered "Becket..Mori, into my office." Stacker demanded "No, we aren't finished!" Chuck yelled as he charged but Herc stopped him and I grabbed his face as Herc yelled "This is over! You're a ranger, for chrissake. Why don't you start acting like one?" Herc asked and Chuck took off as I stayed behind and Herc eventually went looking for him. I looked at Stacker as he looked at me emotionless "I punched my brother just now...twice" and he nodded "I seen the damage. I also want you to know I am not upset with you at all Brooklyn. I just hope you realize what this means" and he went into his office as I went looking for my husband and father in law

I found Chuck around the same time as Herc since we followed the loud music playing as Chuck was working on something for Striker. He seen Herc and I stood back to see if they coudl talk it out "Hydraulics are shot, we need to repplace them" Chuck looked at Herc as he dropped a drum on the floor "Because we grounded Mako" Herc said as he shut off the radio obviously ticking Chuck off more "Good!" Chuck turned back on the radio and walked away "Well that's HALF of the right decision but I want Becket off this mission more than I do her." and he reached for a tool as Herc turned the music off again causing Chuck to turn around quickly with a drill in his hand and stalk back over as he turns it back on "I'm listening to that" and Herc looks at him "Who are you?" he asks Chuck and I hug myself as I watch what's about to unfold because I could tell Herc was finally drawing a line. He hit Chucks hand as he turned the radio back on "Not now" "Excuse me?" Chuck asked his father as he turned the radio off yet again "I don't even recognize you. Who are you? Can your wife recognize you Chuck?" The were both getting more irritated and I was uncomfortable "Who am I??? What do you mean?" and Herc got closer, more intimidating, "You're a great ranger. Is that what you wanna hear?" and Herc motioned to everyone without looking away "Everone knows that" and CHuck without a beat was a smartass as he shrugged "What more do you want me to be??" and Herc had lost his cool "A BETTER PERSON!!" and Chuck moved back looking at his father like he was an idiot "A better person" he muttered like it was poison on his lips and he walked past his dad, shoulder checking him along the way but turned around to let what was on his mind out "You know what? At least you can't blame yourself, because you didn't raise me to be anything" he said loudly and Herc kept his back to him "After mom died, I spent more time with these machines that I ever did with you. And the only reason you and I even speak anymore, old man is because we're drift compatible and my wife took a liking to you but I can't quite figure out why" and I seen Herc lower his head trying to keep the emotions in "and also because we're good at smashing things up, you and I" and Herc finally turned around to face his son "You know what?" Chuck asked "We don't even need to speak at all." and Herc tried to protest but nothing came out "I'll catch you in the drift, Dad" and Chuck stormed away.

I walked up to Herc while his back was to me "You know? When you had Charlie and I drift together, I seen his memories and you wanna know what I seen and felt Herc??" and he turned around to look at me "What?" he asked weakly as if expecting something horrible "I seen the memories he has of you and him on the beach before this happened, playing baseball, doing normal things, even after this started I felt how he idolized you but after awhile it set in that this was real and you were always busy. Acknowledge he's your son and show him love Herc. He'll melt" and I patted his shoulder and walked away.

As I entered the room I immediately found Chuck as he was patting Max with tears in his eyes. I walked over to in front of him and he put his head on my stomach and I massaged it. I soon got on my knees to inspect his wounds and went to grab the fist aid kit. When I returned, He grabbed my hands and looked at my knuckles "That was quite the punch there Mrs. Hansen" he said roughly as if his voice was giving out form exhaustion and I smirked "He deserved it" and he chuckled and pulled me to him "Chuck!! I need to fix you up" and he pulled the covers up over us and held me to him as he put his head on top of mine "The only things i need is you babe" and I smiled finally giving in and we laid like that after awhile but I gave in "You shouldn't of been so rude to your dad Charlie" and he sighed "I'm not going to be able to be a better person I only can be when your with me but I just can't Brooklyn ok? let's talk about this later it's been a rough day" and he gave me a kiss and we drifted off to sleep
