Newt groaned as he rolled out of his warm comfy bed. The bed squeaked as newt lifted his weight off the plush mattress. He slowly sat up and stretched his bad leg before groggily walking up to his bedroom door. He started walking to the bathroom until he bumped into a figure.
"Minho..?" He whispered.
The figure dropped some popcorn and coughed with a mouthful of food.
"Huh? No?"
Newt scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.
"Then who the shuck are you?" Newt questioned. "And why are you in my house?"
The boy in front of Newt was about an inch shorter than him, newt couldn't see much in the dark of the hallway, the boy had his arms folded in what seemed curiosity as he looked Newt up and down.
"I'm Thomas." He replied before picking up his dropped popcorn. "Oh..." he nodded "You must be Newt." Thomas continued. He looked Newt up and down before rolling his eyes slightly. newt raised his eyebrow.
"Why are you in my house at 2 in the morning?" Newt asked, leaning against the doorframe of the bathroom and folding his arms across his chest.
"I'm friends with Minho." Thomas replied. newt slightly rolled his eyes before scoffing.
"Great." He mumbled. Thomas smirked slightly.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked. newt shrugged and looked away from Thomas. Minho never had people over. And if he did (which was extremely rare) newt hated it.
"You're being rude." Thomas muttered before moving past Newt and into the kitchen. Newt let out a small scoff before following Thomas.
"Me? Rude?" Newt asked as if Thomas was joking. "I'm not the one barging into peoples houses at 2am."
"Oh come now, I didn't barge in" Thomas protested. "The door was unlocked." He stated while opening a kitchen cupboard. "Minho told me where the snacks were."
Newt rolled his eyes and mumbled a curse under his breath. He hated everything about this boy already. the way he casually strolled around like he owned the place, his smirk that appeared on his face every time he spoke. Gosh thanks for making my life even worse.. and god I need to pee.. newt thought.
"What are you looking for?" Newt questioned while trying to shove Thomas out the way. Thomas smirked and pushed back gently against Newt's chest. "Ow! Hey!" Newt protested, before gently shoving Thomas back. Thomas laughed and pushed Newt again, not enough to send him back a step, but enough to make it clear it was on purpose. Newt gave Thomas a frustrated look before shoving him with more force.
"Stop it." Newt muttered through clenched teeth. Thomas just laughed and gave another gentle shove. "Stop it, seriously" Newt protested, the tone of his voice becoming more serious, but Thomas ignored Newt, gently shoving him back again. "Stop it!" Newt protested again. Thomas ignored newt once more, gently shoving him again, this time causing newt to step back.
"I said enough." Newt said, his voice becoming more irritated. Thomas smirked with amusement. "Or what?" He teased before shoving Newt again. This time, there was no gentleness behind the shove ; Thomas pushed Newt hard enough to make him stumble back against the wall. Newt grunted in pain as his bad leg slammed against the wall.
"Ow!" He exclaimed in pain, looking at Thomas with anger. Thomas' smirk faded, guilt slowly appearing on his face. Newt saw the look and rolled his eyes. "Oh great." He said sarcastically. "You're feeling guilty now."
"I didn't mean to push you that hard" Thomas protested before taking a step towards Newt. "Seriously I'm-"
"Oh shut it." Newt interrupted. "I'm fine." He leaned his body weight against the wall, trying to hide the pain in his leg.
Thomas frowned, noticing the way newt was leaning against the wall, but said nothing to not irritate newt further. They both stood in awkward silence for a moment. "So.." Thomas eventually said, breaking the silence. "where were you headed anyway? to grab snacks too?"
