It's been over three months now. The attack was a violent one, or so Shinous heard. The fighting lasted a full day, only to end around 2 a.m. with about 8 confirmed kidnapped. He hadn't been there, but he was aware that even a couple UA students had been kidnapped as well. One of them being an old acquaintance he used to know, Kaminari. He didn't really have much of an option of him since they barely knew each other and only bumped into each other from time to time, trained together once as well, and never got the actual chance to become friends but Shinous thought he was alright. He gave complete puppy energy for Shinous, and had overly energetic from time to time.
However, since he went missing, along with others from the attack, the heroes had been trying to find any signs or clues for the attackers or the missing however there had been no signs anywhere. The attack had been mostly one sided since they kept taking hostages until eventually they took all the hostages and vanished without a trace.
Shinous was too consumed in his thoughts to realize he had taken a wrong turn, and was now lost. The place looked familiar. Looking around, he saw a park that he remembered going to last year to study. Since the new school year was starting in less than an hour to be completely honest, he knew the walk back to UA would take about 20 minutes. Pulling out his phone, walking up to the park, he had about 40 minutes before he needed to leave and find his new class. Since a couple UA students had gone missing, and there were no signs for finding them, other students had been switched around. Somehow, Shinous had ended in class 1-A for this school year. Along with another student, but he didn't know who just yet.
He signed as he walked up to the park, which was near a large wooded part of the area. He's visited the woods before and it's honestly really calming. Maybe he'd visit the woods later today, after classes and training to relax. He opened the metal gates, feeling a sharp zap as he first touched it. It was weird, since that hadn't happened very often but it was still technically summer right now. Another two or three weeks then it would officially fall.
He closed the gate behind him as he walked up to the old yellow slides, sitting down and relaxing against it. He watched the sky for a moment, thinking of what the school year might have in store for him this year. As he relaxed, he heard a soft shuffle next to him, behind the small climbing wall that led to the top of the playground. He sat up a little and looked to his left, seeing a terrified blond in hospital clothing.
He remained where he was for a moment because his eyes had to be playing some joke on him. Kaminari, who had been missing for three months, couldn't have just been sitting behind a climbing wall at a playground. He couldn't have just been here, in hospital clothes, staring at Shinous right now.
"Kaminari...?" Shinous questioned for a moment before Kaminari quickly tried to stand up causing him to slam his head on the metal flooring that was barely five feet high. Shinous quickly stood up and rushed over to Kaminari, who began trying to crawl away as he held his, now, bleeding head. "Hey! Calm down! I'm not going to hurt you!" He tried to sound calming but it mostly came out rushed and a little forced as he grabbed Kaminari's arm.
"NO! No, no no no!" Kaminari shouted as he tried getting out of Shinous's grip but Shinous kept just grabbing onto his arms and pulled him close. "Let me go!"
"I'm not going to hurt you! Kaminari!" Shinous turned him around so they were face to face. Kaminari's fear and shaking didn't stop as Shinous's grip didn't let up as he tried calming him. "It's me! Shinous! You- we used to bump into each other in the halls! We trained together! Don't- don't you remember me?"
Kaminari took deep breaths as tears kept falling out of his eyes. Shinous's grip loosened as Kaminari stopped fighting against Shinous. "Do... do you remember me?" He questioned in a softer voice.
Kaminari nodded before looking around a little and pulling him behind the wall. "You need to be quiet... they're always listening... watching...!" He muttered as he looked around.
"What- who? What are you talking about? Kamina-" He cut himself off as Kaminari rested his head on his chest, crawling into a ball in between Shinous's legs. He paused as Kaminari began to close his eyes, his breathing beginning to become steadier. He wrapped a hesitant arm around Kaminari, pulling him into a hug and kept him close as he watched the blond trying to fight sleep while keeping an eye out for any danger. "Kamin- hey? Why don't you get some rest? I'll call for help-"
As Shinous was pulling his phone out of his pocket with his other hand, Kaminari grabbed his wrist and pulled away from him to stare at him. "Don't! They're always listening! They'll know! They'll take me back to that damn room! I can't go back!" Kaminari whispered as he kept Shinous's wrist down.
Shinous thought for a moment. He could see that he was clearly terrified and making him anymore scared right now would only cause him to attempt to run away right now. He could use his quirk but right now, he didn't know what happened to Kaminari and he doesn't want to risk anything. Shinous hesitantly let a sigh out before nodding. "I still need to call Mr. Aizawa. He-"
"Don't!" Kaminari whispered. His grip got tighter around his wrist, causing Shinous to cringe a little. Not from the pain but from the fact Kaminari was unknowingly using his quirk causing his wrist to burn a bit. He looked down and saw that he wasn't the only one being affected by his quirk. The electricity was leaving soft red marks on his own hands.
