When I awoke again, I noticed a sharp wind. This wind was one I was familiar with, it was the wind of a vampire's passage. I opened my eyes to see Alec holding me, he was running alongside the other Volturi members. I started squirming, I was extremely annoyed to be taken by vampires yet again.
"Will you stop squirming?" Alec asked, looking down at me. I could hear the annoyance in his voice.
"Will you put me down?" I retorted.
"No." He said
"There's your answer." I hissed. It was only five minutes before we reached a private airstrip. I tried my best to resist but I was not yet strong enough, I ended up slung over Alec's shoulder, protesting all the way. I was set in a bedroom in the back and I heard the click of the door being locked. I noticed my wrist and ankle were set, and my ribs were taped. It must have been Carlisle. I hoped that no more newborns had been hiding, and I silently thanked Jasper for being quick to react, I did not know how long I could have held it there. I sat on the bed thinking of plans to escape. I did not know where exactly I was going and therefore I had no plans. I ended up falling asleep sitting up. I woke up about 2 hours before the plane landed. During this time I contemplated crashing the plane. My control over the air was strong enough, but chances are that I would kill myself in the process, and not even harm the vampires. I wondered why in the world they wanted me anyway. They could have killed me on the spot when I was too weak to raise my head. I felt the plane begin to descend and I was instantly more alert. I was now fully rested and my powers were strong. I still had not eaten, so they were not full strength, but they were strong enough. Alec once again came in and picked me up, again I fought, making more progress than last time. I managed to make him drop me once, but before I could get far they were on top of me again. This time he pinned my arms behind my back. We came upon a castle and they entered it. I had never been inside it before, only seen it from a distance, and this castle was the Volturi castle in Italy. We entered a sort of throne room and Alec set me down, he kept a tight hold on my forearm. There were three vampires on thrones in the middle of the room. I remembered seeing them in a book when I was in Carlisle's library one time. Marcus was on the left, Aro was in the middle, and Cauis was on the right.
"My children, welcome back! I assume all has been taken care of?" Aro inquired.
"Yes, master." It was Jane who spoke.
"Wonderful! And who might this be?" Aro asked, looking at me.
"Il mio cantante, Myla Swan." Alec stated. How does he know my name? Bella had said my first name, maybe the Cullens told him, they don't really like the Volturi though.
"Another Swan child? You said she was gifted?" Aro looked intrigued, looking at Alec and Jane.
"Yes." Jane said starting forward, Aro got up from his seat and met her. He clasped her and a blank look crossed his face. I remembered Aro's gift from the book I had read in Carlisle's study. He was a tactile telepath.
"Magnifico." he murmured, then released her hand.
"What is it Aro?" Cauis asked.
"It seems young Myla here has control over the elements and shadows." Aro replied, turning to look at him, then looking back at me. "Would you demonstrate child?" he asked me. Alec released my arm.
"Which do you wish to see?" I asked, seeing no reason to fight him and all the reason to show off. His eyes took on a glint I knew well, greed.
"All of them." he said with a smile that would make me shiver if I had not been dealing with newborns for the past three months. I took a step sideways, knowing it was not a good idea to set Alec on fire, even though it was beyond tempting. That movement was watched closely by all. It gave me a small amount of pleasure knowing that I set them on edge, having escaped them once. But, if they were on edge it made escape that much harder. I put my hands forward and flames leapt from them, I turned the flames to water, then called that back too. I called the wind and let it swirl around me, sending gusts to those around me. Then I split the earth in the room, causing those near it to jump back, Aro watched, intrigued. I closed the split sealing it so there was no evidence of it being there in the first place. Aro, watched, waiting. I made no move.
