I knew I had only a few minutes before someone was here to take her place. It was now or never. I moved to the corner with the deepest shadow. I stood there, feeling the darkness around me. I imagined myself anywhere but here, somewhere far away. I felt the darkness start to swirl around me and thought harder, I am so going to throw up blood after this. It intensified, whisking me away with it, it gained power until it suddenly stopped. I opened my eyes to see I was in the middle of a forest, and in front of me were three wolves the size of horses. Why isn't anything ever easy? My mental rant was cut short when I fell to my knees vomiting blood. The wolves turned and ran into the woods. Seconds later three large shirtless boys appeared. Shape-shifters, even better, note the sarcasm. They ran to me, panicking.

"What are we supposed to do?" One of them shouted.

"I don't know!" Someone responded..

"Where did she even come from?" A new voice asked. "She smells like a bloodsucker." I had stopped puking by now. Turning to the side I spat the remainder of blood from my mouth. Looking up I peered at the boys. I recognized them easily. The fact that they were wolves helped. It was Sam Uley and his pack. When Bella was depressed she began hanging out a La Push, I tagged along and befriended the pack, I was back home.

"Hey Sam." I said weakly, giving them a small smile. Sam looked at me with a blank expression on his face. "Come on, you don't recognize me? I haven't changed that much." he peered at me closely, then a flicker of recognition flashed across his face.

"Myla Swan?" He asked hesitantly. I gave him a small grin in response.

"The one and only." I looked at the others with him, Jacob, and Paul.

"I'm sorry, but is that normal for you?" Paul asked, sounding bewildered.

"Yep." I replied.

"Why do you smell like a bloodsucker?" Jacob asked.

"Why don't you come back with us first." Sam interrupted. I nodded. Suddenly Jake exclaimed,

"I got to get Bella!"

"Tell her and I will kill you without hesitation." I growled.

"What makes you think you can do that?" He sneered. I gave a humorless laugh.

"I assume you fought the newborns, roughly four months ago?" They nodded their confirmation. "Well, I fought and killed five of them at once, on my own, bare handed. I would imagine you wouldn't be too much trouble." I said. They gaped.

"How?!" Paul spluttered. I waved his question off.

"I'll show you later, speaking of which..." I trailed off and spun around. "Shadows appear." I commanded. They sprung from the ground in front of me, the wolves jumped back in surprise. "Spy on Aro and the Volturi, report back to me on their decision about me, stay out of sight." I ordered. I could feel the strain on me. I released them and turned back to the wolves who were looking very confused. "Tell ya later." I told them.

"Um, your nose is bleeding." Paul said. I touched the skin under it. When I pulled back my hand it was covered in crimson droplets. Not good, I can't not use my power though. I had only ever vomited before, never gotten a bloody nose, not a good sign. I dismissed the thought, I had no other option, if I went back I would be using my gift just as much to train.

"Come on, let's get back to the house." Sam said. I could hear the concern in his voice. We walked through the woods. I stumbled often, but never fell. Everyone offered to carry me, but I refused. It was only two miles to the house. About twenty minutes later we came up to the house. We walked in and caught the attention of the eight other people in the room. I recognized all but two of them, two of them I was surprised to see here, Seth and Leah Clearwater. I used to hang out with them when we were younger. Emily, Leah, and I were the only girls in the room.
