All I knew was everything hurt. I searched in my mind for some explanation, and remembered Ashlynn and her friends. Against my will my heart began to pound in double time and breath became ragged from both pain and fear. I felt a cold hand touch my own and I launched myself away from it as quickly as possible, fearing it was Ashlynn or her minions. I relaxed a little when I saw the concerned face of Alec. He wasn't much better.

"Relax Myla, it's just me." He said. My head was throbbing, actually all of me was throbbing. The door opened to permit Aro and Jane. I stiffened when I saw Aro, I did not trust him at all. I didn't exactly trust anyone here, but Aro was just extra untrustworthy.

"Hello Myla, I was wondering if you could explain to us what happened and how you knew those vampires. I got a glimpse of your mind when Jane and Felix brought you here, but they were clouded." I mulled over my options. I could either call on my shadows to explain, or Aro could read my mind. Option was one definitely better, but I am currently speaking to no one but Jane. The only reason I spoke to her was she had done nothing too horrible to me so far, and she seemed decent under her cold monotone mask she often wore. "You could always show me too." Aro added a look of desire in his eyes. I made a split decision. I would not give him what he wants, which is a look in my mind. I summoned my shadows and began to speak.

"No. I was a hostage in a newborn army for a while. I escaped when someone decided to throw me in a fire." I said laying emphasis on someone and looking between Jane and Alec. "Long story short they caught me a couple times, I escaped. You guys caught me once, and once again I escaped. I warned the Cullens that the newborns were coming for them, then left. I was attacked by six newborns. I killed five, one escaped. Later he caught me and brought me back to Victoria and Riley. They were gone and he was put in charge of me. He had a gift similar to Janes, he always brought his mate with him because she had another gift where she could render any gift useless. His mate was Ashlynn. They tortured me for two weeks. I was dragged to the battle, tied to a tree, then I went to the battle with you guys. I held that one newborn in place for Jasper. That one was the one who escaped and tortured me, his mate was in the trees. I hadn't thought about her until I saw her in the store. They herded me out, when I tried to travel they prevented me. She tried to get me to answer questions, for obvious reasons I could not. I got beat up, Jane and Felix came, you guys probably know the rest better than I do." I concluded. Aro was nodding while Jane and Alec looked shocked. I realized they had never heard my story.

"Thank you for the information." Aro said simply, walking out. Both Jane and Alec were still statues staring at me.

"What?" I asked them. It really was helpful having shadows who could speak for me. It was sort of weird, seeming as shadows were silent, but I never really questioned it.

"You were hostage in a newborn army?" Jane was the first to break the silence.

"You knew this. After all you were the someone to throw me in a fire."

"We assumed you were a snack, or they were going to turn you." Jane clarified.

"No, the leader, Victoria held a grudge against the Cullens, Bella and I for killing James, her mate. So it was a win-win for her to kidnap me." I explained more fully. They nodded.

"Why did you kill James?" Alec asked.

"He was a tracker, he wanted my sister. I followed her and held him off until the Cullens killed him." My shadow's voice had taken a bitter tone at the end, reacting to the bitterness in my mind at the time.

"Why does that make you upset?" Alec pressed.

"What is this, 20 questions?" I asked. Both Jane and Alec just stared at me, waiting for my answer. "I unlocked my powers for the first time fighting him. When The Cullens saw me with fire shooting out of my hands they paused. I thought it was more of Jame's coven and I turned to face them. James had just enough time to bite me. They didn't know and helped Bella first. Alice figured out what was happening and Carlisle sucked the venom out, but he was a little late. That is why I am dying. James is still killing me, long after he was already dead. Any use of my gift speeds up the process." I said remembering the months of training I was forced to endure. They seemed to be out of questions from now. I took this opportunity to make an odd request. "I need to go swimming." I stated. Water tended to heal me, there was a reason hydrotherapy was popular. It just helped me more, because it was mine, I controlled it. Both Jane and Alec looked at me like I had asked them for a three headed dog.
