Y/n's Pov

I sat at my desk, the soft glow of the lamp casting a warm light over the stacks of paperwork that cluttered my workspace. The rhythmic clicking of my keyboard filled the room as I finished a few last-minute details for the day. The serenity of the moment was abruptly interrupted by the shrill ring of my phone.

I glanced at the caller ID. It was my father.

"Hello, Father," I answered, my tone respectful yet tinged with curiosity.

"Y/n," My father's voice crackled through the line, authoritative and brisk. "I need you to head to the Hotel immediately. Charlie and Vaggie are preparing to travel to Heaven for a meeting, and I want you to accompany them."

I straightened into my seat, momentarily taken aback. "But why me, Father? I thought you had specific plans for me today."

There was a brief pause on the other end before father responded, his tone softening slightly. "There's something else I need you to do while you're there. I know you haven't seen a certain friend of yours in months. You must make time to visit them. I don't know their name or age, but I do know they're significant to you."

I furrowed my brow, the request catching me off guard. "Alright, I'll go. But is there anything else you need me to know about the meeting in Heaven?"

Father's voice grew firmer. "No, just focus on the task at hand. Charlie and Vaggie will handle the meeting. Your priority is to reconnect with your friend."

With that, the call ended abruptly. I set the phone down and took a deep breath, the weight of my father's request settling on my shoulders. It had been a while since I'd seen this friend, and the thought of catching up was both comforting and distracting.

I stood up and began gathering my things, preparing for the journey. A glance in the mirror assured me that I looked presentable enough for the task ahead. As I walked through the corridors of my office, I couldn't help but wonder about the friend I was supposed to visit. The mystery of their identity and our long separation added a layer of intrigue to the already complex nature of the trip.

Charlie is packing clothes into a suitcase while Vaggie sits on the bed, looking troubled because Charlie is over-packing a lot of things to the point she has a closet-sized suitcase, a guitar case, two extra-large suitcase luggage, and a small handbag.

"OK, I have my warm weather clothes and my cold weather clothes. I have a light jacket, flak jacket, and rain jacket- wait, does it rain in Heaven? Also! Y/n should be here any moment!" Charlie said, pointing to all the clothes.

"Charlie, you're only going to heaven for a few hours" Vaggie smiled at her frantic partner."

"Vaggie, we are only going to heaven for a day. And I just want to be prepared! It's our last chance to convince heaven a soul can be redeemed." Charlie paced around her room a little.

"Yeah, I wish I could come, sweetie, but I have that...thing" Vaggie tried to lie to Charlie but failed.

"What thing?" Charlie was confused.

"The thing with the... thing uhm... fuck, gah, I'm such a bad liar" Vaggie laughed, looking down to their shared floor. Charlie takes her girlfriend's hand.

"Vaggie, you are my partner. I need you there with me."

Vaggie sighs, and the sigh is heard throughout the room.

"Fine."

Charlie hugs and kisses Vaggie's cheek.

Outside of their room, and to the lounge.
