Alastor's Pov

The room felt like a tomb, the air thick with memories I'd rather forget. Every corner, every piece of furniture, reminded me of her. I couldn't stand it. The bond on my wrist throbbed with her emotions—anger, sadness, and that fierce need for freedom. I could feel it all, and it was driving me mad. I had to do something. Anything.

I left my room, the shadows curling and twisting around my feet, reflecting the turmoil inside me. As I made my way to the lobby, I found Lucifer sitting alone, his head in his hands. He looked... defeated. I'd never seen the King of Hell like this before, and it made me hesitate. But I couldn't let that stop me. Not now.

"Lucifer," I called out, my voice firm, though the weight of what I was about to ask, bored down on me. "I need to ask you something about soulmates."

Lucifer looked up slowly, his eyes dull, as if the fire that usually burned in them had been extinguished. He studied me for a moment, and then, with a slow nod, he stood.

"There are... rules," he said, his voice heavy with the burden of the last few days. "But it's been so long since I've had to consider them." He glanced arond, as if searching for something. "We need to go to the castle's library. The answers should be there."

I watched as Lucifer raised his hand, opening a swirling portal that led to the grand library of his castle. Before stepping through, he turned to me, a new resolve hardening in his eyes.

"Gather everyone in the hotel," he instructed. "We'll need their help to find what we're looking for. This could affect Vaggie, too, considering her relationship with Charlie."

I nodded, already reaching out with my power to summon the others. Charlie, Vaggie, Angel, Husk, and Niffty appeared in the lobby, each of them looking confused but willing to assist. Lucifer explained the situation quickly, emphasizing the importance of finding the information as soon as possible.

As everyone prepared to step through the portal, Lucifer turned to me again. "What about the Vee's? Y/n is close to them. Do you think they would help?"

I felt my jaw tighten. The Vee's... I never liked them, especially not Valentino. But I had to put my personal feelings aside. This wasn't about me; it was about Y/n. "If any of them were to help, it would be Velvette," I admitted, though the words left a sour taste in my mouth.

Lucifer nodded and quickly summoned Velvette. She arrived with her usual energetic demeanor, but there was a seriousness in her eyes that showed she understood the gravity of the situation. "Of course, I'll help!" she said, her voice lacking its usual playful lilt. "Y/n is my friend. We'll figure this out together."

Lucifer then pulled out his phone and made another call. "Stolas, bring Octavia, Blitz, and Beelzebub to the castle at once. I'll explain everything when you get here." He listened to the response on the other end before hanging up. He turned back to me, his expression somber.

"Is there anyone else?" he asked.

I thought for a moment, then nodded. "Rosie. She's close to Y/n. If anyone can understand what she's going through, it's her."

Lucifer didn't hesitate. With a wave of his hand, Rosie was summoned. She appeared with her usual elegant grace, but there was concern etched on her face. "I'll do anything to help Y/n," she said softly, her eyes meeting mine with a knowing look. "She means a great deal to me."

With everyone gathered, Lucifer led the way through the portal to the castle's vast library. The room was immense, filled with shelves that stretched from floor to ceiling, each packed with ancient tomes and scrolls. The air was thick with the scent of old parchment and the soft, ever-present hum of ancient magic.
