Alastor's Pov

Our broadcast was amazing! We decided to come to my room - our room- because Y/n needed a nap. The room was quiet, save for the soft rustling of pages as I flipped through my book. Y/n lay beside me, her head resting gently on my chest, her breath steady and calm. I could feel the warmth of her body against mine, a comforting presence that made everything else in the world seem trivial.

I glanced down at her, taking in the sight of her peaceful expression. Her hair was a soft cascade over my chest, a few stray strands tickling my skin. With a careful hand, I brushed them aside, not wanting to disturb her rest.

She looked so serene, so content. The sight filled me with a warmth I hadn't felt in a long time, something more profound than the mere satisfaction of a plan coming to fruition. This was different-more intimate, more... real.

As I read, my thoughts kept drifting back to her. To us. To everything we'd shared and everything that was yet to come. I had never imagined myself here, in this position, with someone who meant so much to me. Someone I was willing to share my very soul with.

She shifted slightly, her hand curling against my side as she nestled closer. I smiled to myself, feeling a strange mix of emotions. Love, protectiveness, and a fierce determination to keep her safe, no matter what.

It was strange, the things she made me feel. And yet, it was something I couldn't live without now. I couldn't live without it. We had something special, something powerful, and I would see to it that nothing came between us.

I turned my attention back to the book in my hand, but my mind remained on her, on us.

Y/n's Pov

Dreamland.

I find myself standing in a dark, endless void. There's nothing here-no light, no sound, just a suffocating blackness pressing in on all sides. I don't know how I got here, but a gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach tells me I'm not alone.

"Y/n...~"

The voice comes from everywhere and nowhere, echoing around me in a whisper that makes my skin crawl. It's my voice, but not quite. It's colder, sharper, dripping with something dark and twisted.

I spin around, searching for the source, but the void stretches on forever. I'm alone, yet I can feel eyes on me, watching, waiting. My heart pounds in my chest, and I try to calm my breathing, reminding myself that this is just a dream. It has to be.

"Stop hiding, Y/n, ~" the voice hisses again, closer this time. "You can't run from what you are. ~"

A shadow appears from the darkness, a figure that sends a chill down my spine. It steps into view, and I freeze. It's me-but not. The shadow's eyes gleam with a sinister light, and its lips curl into a cruel smile. It looks exactly like me, yet there's something so wrong about it, something that makes my blood run cold.

"What... what are you?" I whisper, my voice trembling despite my efforts to stay calm.

The shadow tilts its head, studying me with a gaze that feels too familiar. "You already know, don't you? I'm you, Y/n. The real you. The part you keep locked away, buried beneath all that pretty, nice, princess nonsense. The princess who hides her true feelings. ~"

"No," I say, shaking my head. "You're not me. I won't let you-"

The shadow laughs a sound that echoes in the emptiness around us. "You won't let me what? Take over? You don't have a choice, Y/n. Y/n, you are hearing me and seeing me because of YOU. This is all you, you are breaking. You can't keep pretending forever."
