SONG OF THE CHAPTER: I Love You - Billie eilish
"That was such a close call, we could've been shot" Natasha spoke with her hand on her chest as it rapidly rose up and down, leaning against the wall.
"Well..." Y/n spoke next to her in a quiet voice.
Natasha turned to look at her confused. Then she saw it. The huge holes in Y/n's body, all over her torso.
Y/n had her hand over the worst one, blood pooling into her hand. She let herself lean on the wall and slowly fell down it. Trying to hold onto the floor, her knuckles turned white as she put all her pressure on it.
Natasha stood in disbelief for a second, then the stinging sensation she hated began in her eyes. They were glossy as the tears began to form.
"No. No. No. It can't. There's... No. This isn't happening." Natasha cried as she ran to hold Y/n.  "Help. Help. HELP." She screamed in misery, loud enough to hurt. When she cried for help the final time her voice cracked as she sobbed.
Frantically she tried to apply pressure to all of Y/n's wounds.
"You can't do this, you're too powerful, you can heal, right? Right? Y/n please tell me this isn't happening." Nat cried uncontrollably, the flood of tears pooling on Y/n. The blonde's nose had started to run at how much she was crying. Her eyes stung and her heart ached. She could feel her heartbeat in her throat and the anxiety infected every inch of her body.
"Jarvis hurry the fuck up where are the rest of the team?!" She screamed in pain.
"It's okay Nat," Y/n weakly smiled, trying to sit up and rest on her elbows.
"Sit down. You're not going anywhere. You won't. You can't leave me."
"It's my time... it's okay," she smiled once again, "I guess this time I wasn't so lucky... I love you, Natasha... I always have, ever since I laid eyes on you."
"Y/n don't you dare. Don't... don't do this. Stay awake, come on, please. Please please please keep your eyes open I can't do this without you." Nat laid her head on the girl's chest listening to her final heartbeats.
"I love you...I love you too much to express... please don't leave." She cried, head to toe in the other girl's blood. Gripping onto her, she listened to her final heartbeat.
She waited.
Waited.
But it didn't start again.
It was silent.
Once Natasha had realised she lifted her head to scream in anger and grief.
Seconds later, Bruce and the rest of the team rounded the corner to see what was going on.
Natasha was sat on her knees, her hand gripping Y/n's till her knuckles turned white. A lifeless look had transferred to Natasha's face, reflecting Y/n's. Tears flowed effortlessly down her face. It was like she had died too.
The person she had dedicated years towards. The person she never stopped loving. The only person she lets see the complete raw version of herself.
Gone.
At the hands of her.
Her one true love.
How was she supposed to live on without her?
The rest of the Avengers stood speechless whilst Dr banner tried to see if there was anything he could do.
She was too far gone.
Too far injured to be helped.
Y/n had died.

The sad truth is every story has to come to an end right? It's inevitable.
Natasha would've married her, if she hadn't of been left.
Stone cold, heartless Natasha Romanoff. The black widow.
I guess she wasn't so heartless after all?
