The girls exited the courtyard and made their way to the front of the school, which was buzzing with students heading to class.

Skyler and Chloe smiled politely at people as they walked until Red put a stop to that.

They came to a stop as a strand of Skyler's hair started floating, followed by one of the daggers she kept handy.

"Woah!" Chloe started drawing her sword, alarmed.

"Felix." She said with a laugh.

After Skyler said his name, a grin materialized before the rest of his body.

"Aww, aren't you going to introduce me to your new friends?" He points between the new girls, who stare in shock at the fact that he appeared out of thin air.

"Red, Chloe, meet Felix Cheshire." He offers them a quick wave.

Red looked shocked at this information. Felix is the Cheshire Cat of Wonderland.

"Well, we'd better be off before you're late to your godfather's class," he said, taking Skyler by the arm and dragging her to class.

"I'll see you guys later!" She yells over her shoulder.

Then Chloe spotted the sign right next to the school gates: MERLIN ACADEMY.

Red stared in confusion, but realization dawned on Chloe. "Oh, of course, Merlin Academy! That's what Auradon Prep used to be called, back before the Beast united all the kingdoms and made Auradon-"Red interrupted her rambling.

"How do you know all this?"

"I love history! Don't you?" Chloe asked.

"Uh-uh." Red's expression said it all. History had never been her thing.

They continued into the school, wandered through the dorm building, and took it all in. Neither of them had gotten a proper tour of Auradon Prep before the Queen of Hearts ruined their chance.

When they reached the student lounge, both girls gaped. The room was beautiful, with high vaulted ceilings and elaborate wall hangings.

Luxurious armchairs and massive tables dotted the space, filled with students chatting and studying. Some were even practicing their magic; sparks flew from magic wands in a corner of the lounge.

"No way!" Chloe said.

She was looking at a poster announcing Castlecoming.

"No way. Castlecoming. That's where my parents fell in love. It's like the biggest event of the year!" Chloe said excitedly.

"Sorry, I'm busy changing history," Red said sarcastically.

"Remember what your mom said about being humiliated at her first dance? This must be what she meant!"
