Episode 6: Halfway Home

Starling City

Two weeks ago

Yaz was on her knees putting her head over a toilet. The toilet was filled with her throw up. Patrick stood behind her holding her hair above her head. She threw up one more time before breathing deeply.

"You, okay?" Patrick asked. Yaz exhaled before standing up weakly. She grabbed a paper towel and wiped her mouth.

"I'm fine." Yaz assured smiling.

"You're on bed rest until we go to the Doctor." Patrick ordered. Yaz groaned at her husband.

"Patrick, I'm fine." Yaz said.

"Yaz, did you see what you just put in the toilet?" Patrick asked. "Go to bed."

Yaz sighed.

"Fine." Yaz said. "Can you just, give me a few seconds?"

Patrick nodded as Yaz put her hair in a bun. As Patrick left, she sighed and pulled out a small box she got from a pharmacy.

Highway

Present

Patrick held the phone to his ear calling his wife.

Voice mail

Patrick groaned and put the phone in his pocket. Thankfully Ben took the steering wheel after a bathroom break. Ben glared at the archer as Sammy pointed towards a rest stop.

"So you're just gonna use that phone no matter what I say, right?" Ben asked. Patrick nodded.

"We established that." Patrick said. "And if you think about throwing it out the window, I'll throw you out with it. Yeah. Darius warned me."

"Even if I point out anyone could be listening?" Ben asked.

"I'll take my chances. Once I learn that Yaz and the baby are okay, then I'll stop using it." Patrick said as Ben pulled into a rest stop with a billboard.

"What is this place?" Sammy asked as Ben parked next to a sign.

"The only place with food for miles." Patrick pointed out from the back seat. "Let's make it quick before Ben tries to serve us more carob."

Sammy nodded and the trio got out of the car.

"Darius told you about that too?" Ben's asked.
