Chester returned home and carefully placed his new "purchase" on his bedside table, ensuring it was there before taking his jester suit off and preparing to shower. He kept thinking about the same feeling he felt when he listened to music for the first time in ages, his make-up trickling down his face under the shower head.

Once out of the shower, he changed into regular shorts and a plain white shirt before unboxing the earbuds, plugging them into his phone, and putting them in both ears. He put Colette's playlist of similar songs, which she shared with him, and put on a song. The music felt even better with two earbuds in.

That night, he cuddled with his childhood bunny plushie and fell asleep like a baby. He felt like he was in the most comfortable position in the world.

He woke up at 9 a.m., music still playing in his ears. He realized that he was two hours late for his work shift. He started panicking, knowing he would get into trouble. He turned the music off, but when he started dressing up again, he thought of why he was even doing this—he was late anyway. But he decided to go.

Once he arrived, Mandy greeted him with a furious look.

"Where were you?" She asked.

"Not even a hello..."

"No, where the hell were you?!"

"I overslept, Mandy. I'm sorry."

"No, you're not! You always say you are yet to do it again and again!"

He thought of a song named "Again and Again." He wanted to discuss it with Mandy, just how great music is and how much benefit it actually gives, but he was supposed to be mad at her, so he held his emotions in.

"Mandy, do you realize how much you hurt me? You didn't even come to check on me when this happened!"

He pointed at the bandage on his arm.

"I was in literal pain, but you decided to ignore it!"

Mandy was shaken but snapped back at him.

"I was mad. I'm sorry for that part, too, but don't you understand that I can't control my emotions as well as you can? I try not to snap, but you make it impossible!"

"That's not even— ugh, whatever."

He said meanly as he bumped his shoulder into hers before storming out of the room. The realization started to sink in. She felt guilty for one part but, at the same time, mad.

Shortly after, Mandy went to the storage room and sat on her "throne." She realized she was wrong for not being there for him. She rested her arms on the table and her head on her hands, feeling guilty as she realized her self-centeredness and nonchalant attitude toward Chester when he was in pain sank in.

But she couldn't show that.
