Chester woke up because Edgar had shaken him awake.

"Dude, breakfast is ready. Everyone's already wide awake, man.."

Chester looked astonished—he was usually the early bird. He looked at the time: 12 p.m. It was not too late, but a little bit late for Chester, who usually woke up at least 9, at the latest 10.

He sat up and rubbed his eyes before stretching.

"Come on, man, everyone's waiting for you."

Edgar left the room.

Chester's thoughts immediately went to Mandy. Did she sleep well? Did she have any pleasant dreams? Did she notice the little braid he made for her at night?

He took some other comfortable clothes from his backpack, a white shirt and grey sweatpants, and went downstairs. He needed to ask Edgar where his comb was and, of course, eat some breakfast.

Once he arrived downstairs, he saw everyone talking by the table. He sat on the spot next to Edgar before turning to face him.

"Can I borrow your comb?"

Edgar turned to him.

"Sure."

"Where is it?"

Edgar pointed at the coffee table, where the comb was. Instead of letting Chester get it, he got it himself and handed it to Chester.

"Thanks,"

Chester said before starting to brush his hair blindly.

That's when Colette came over with some omelet, putting a plate in front of everyone.

"Enjoy."

Everyone thanked her and began eating.

Chester was barely eating anything, though, glancing over at Mandy occasionally. Her braid was still there...

Mandy caught him looking suddenly. She raised a brow and took her braid in her hand, asking, "Did you do this?"

He nodded.

Mandy sighed and turned away as Chester wondered what she was thinking. Did she like it?

If not, maybe she would at least think it was thoughtful of him.

He couldn't leave her forever— that's what he knew. Did she feel the same?

Too many thoughts at once, Chester. Too many thoughts.

There was a deep silence between them before Edgar finished his food and put his plate in the sink.

Soon after, everyone was finished, so they also put their plates in there.

That's when Mandy spoke up.

"Well... Any plans for today?"

Edgar's eyes lit up; he turned to Mandy, a smile spreading across his face.

"I'm going to see Draco today. I'm going to his concert— I'm so excited!"

His smile widened into a grin.

Colette chuckled and said:

"Yeah, he's been real eager to see him— but I don't trust him, so I'm coming with him. You know, to make sure he does nothing stupid or crazy."

Chester was watching silently.

"Maybe you and Mandy can come along? You *do* know who Draco is, right?"

"Of course."

Mandy said.

"I'll come with you two. Just send the details over Messages."

Chester thought about it for a moment.

Maybe things would change there between him and her.

"Yeah... I'll come along too."

"Great!"

Colette said. Edgar couldn't stop grinning.

"You guys can go ahead and make your way home. I'll see if there are any tickets available."

Mandy thanked Colette as she packed everything and left. Chester did so, too.

(P.S - I have been posting late due to me being on the beach (vacation) half of the time. I will try posting more !)
