"You don't know a damn thing about this place!" he roars, his voice echoing through the room. "I'm running this base, and I know exactly what I'm doing!"
Her eyes flash with frustration as she steps closer, her voice shaking with a mix of anger and desperation. "It's only a matter of time before our base is attacked too. Just let me help you! I'm trying to save us all!"
He glares at her, his face contorted with rage. "I've dealt with someone from your family before, and it ended disastrously. So stay the hell away from me, or I swear I'll throw you out myself!" His words are sharp and bitter, each one delivered like a punch. Without waiting for a response, he storms off, slamming the door behind him with a force that shakes the walls.

Aiko Nakamura, a promising Japanese medical student at Oxford, seemed to have it all: a stellar academic record, a loving boyfriend, and loyal friends. However, beneath the surface of her seemingly perfect life lay the turbulence of a fractured family. Raised in the UK by her single mother, a dedicated scientist, Aiko's life is thrown into disarray when her mother's job is unexpectedly transferred to Korea.
Left alone in the UK, Aiko's yearning for her mother grows with each passing day. Her mother was her only family, her father a distant memory from a teenage romance that never matured. With summer vacation approaching, Aiko is filled with anticipation and plans a surprise visit to Korea, determined to reunite with her mother despite the cryptic warnings about a major experiment.
Aiko's journey takes her from the bustling streets of Seoul to the serene landscapes of Jeju Island. But as she boards the train to Jeju, she senses something is terribly wrong. The once-familiar world is now shrouded in fear, with whispers of monstrous creatures called Neomorphs spreading panic among the people.
In the near future, humanity's pursuit of scientific advancement led to breakthroughs in biotechnology. Mega-corporations, eager to dominate this field, promised to eliminate diseases, extend lifespans, and enhance human abilities.
One such corporation, Genetech Industries, launched a secret project named Project Genesis. Their aim was to create super-soldiers by combining human DNA with that of resilient creatures from deep-sea organisms to extraterrestrial microbes.
Project Genesis began with high hopes. Scientists conducted experiments in a remote, underground facility to avoid detection. Early test subjects displayed incredible abilities: enhanced strength, rapid healing, and heightened senses. However, these enhancements came with severe side effects. The genetic splicing caused unpredictable mutations, leading to extreme aggression and physical deformities.
