Aiko

Aiko and Minji were utterly exhausted, their legs aching from walking for hours on end. The sun had climbed high, casting harsh shadows and making the air hot and stifling. The lack of water added to their misery, their parched throats making every breath feel like fire.

"Fuck, I need water," Minji panted, her voice barely a whisper.

"Me too," Aiko replied, her own voice hoarse. "Just a little further. Maybe we'll find a stream or something."

Their conversation was cut short by a sudden, low growling sound coming from nearby. Both girls froze, their eyes wide with fear as they turned their heads toward the source of the noise. There, emerging from the underbrush, was one of the creatures. Its bloodshot eyes locked onto them, and its grotesque, snarling face twisted in hunger.

"Run!" Aiko shouted, and both girls took off, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten as adrenaline surged through their bodies. The creature let out a bone-chilling growl and gave chase, its movements eerily fast and agile.

Aiko and Minji dodged through the trees, their hearts pounding as they ran for their lives. The creature's growls grew louder, and Aiko could feel its hot breath on her neck. They needed a miracle, something to save them from this nightmare.

Meanwhile, Heeseung was driving back to the safe base through the forest. The base, strategically located away from the city and deep in the woods, offered some protection from the creatures that now roamed the land. Heeseung, along with his friends Sunghoon and Jake, had gone on a supply run, and they were eager to get back before sunset. Nighttime was the worst when the creatures seemed to multiply and become even more aggressive.

The van bounced along the rough path, the guys inside chatting to pass the time.

"Did you see the look on that guy's face when we took the last of the canned beans?" Jake laughed, shaking his head. "Fucking priceless."

Sunghoon grinned. "Yeah, but those beans are gonna be a lifesaver. I'm sick of living on just rice and whatever scraps we can find."

Heeseung smirked, keeping his eyes on the road. "Stop bitching, Sunghoon. At least we're still alive."

Their conversation was abruptly interrupted when Sunghoon heard screams coming from the forest. He immediately alerted the others.

"Did you hear that?" Sunghoon asked, his voice tense.

"Yeah, I heard it too," Jake said, peering out the window. "Someone's in trouble."

Heeseung frowned, not wanting to risk their lives, but he knew they couldn't just ignore it. "Alright, fuck it. Let's go check it out. But stay sharp. We don't know what we're walking into."

They grabbed their guns and headed towards the noise, hearts pounding with the same adrenaline that fueled Aiko and Minji's desperate run.

Aiko and Minji had been running for a few minutes, but the creature was relentless. Minji, tired and slowing down, didn't realize it until it was too late. The creature reached out and took a bite out of her leg, causing her to scream in excruciating pain. The monster's mouth was filled with blood, and Minji's screams were gut-wrenching.
