Third person pov-
Jungkook left his office, a sense of determination and purpose in his stride as he made his way towards the restaurant. He was focused and his mind was still contemplating the possibilities of partnering with the Kim Corporation.
He mentally chastised himself for being tardy, knowing that it was not a good impression to make. He was aware that first impressions mattered and arriving late could negatively impact the initial meeting.
For Jungkook, the dinner meeting that was about to take place was nothing more than a business meeting. He approached it with a professional demeanor, setting aside any personal emotions or attachment. He was there to discuss business and explore the possibility of a partnership with the Kim Corporation.
As he finally reached the restaurant, Jungkook took a moment to compose himself. He smoothed down his suit and adjusted his tie, wanting to present a polished and confident image. With a resolute stride, he entered the restaurant, his eyes searching for the person he was supposed to meet.
A waiter guided him, his eyes immediately landed on Areum, who was already present and looking quite elegantly dressed for the meeting. A subtle surprise flickered across his face as he took in her appearance.
He had expected a casual, business-like meeting, but Areum's attire suggested something more. Jungkook pushed away his momentary surprise and walked over to the table where she was seated, his expression carefully neutral.
Jungkook approached the table where Areum was sitting and greeted her with a polite smile. "Good evening, Miss Kim." he said, his voice professional and somewhat reserved. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long."
He took a seat across from her, his eyes flickering over her attire once more before he focused on the task at hand. Despite her glamorous appearance, Jungkook reminded himself that he was there for strictly business purposes. He suppressed any personal thoughts or reactions that threatened to surface and maintained professionalism.
Despite being objectively conventionally attractive, he didn't find himself particularly drawn to her. Instead, he felt a sense of detachment, his focus solely on the business meeting they were about to have.
Who's gonna tell her that he's not into girls?
"evening Mr. Jeon," Areum smiled warmly as she greeted Jungkook back, her eyes flickering over his face. "Don't worry, you didn't keep me waiting for long."
There was a playful light in her eyes, an indication that she had a different agenda in mind than the strictly business one he had expected.
Areum smirked slightly, noting the detached professionalism emanating from Jungkook. She decided to take a different approach to the meeting to see if she could crack his cool exterior. She leaned forward slightly, a hint of coyness in her voice as she spoke.
"You know, I don't think I've ever seen a businessman look as handsome as you do right now."
The compliment rolled out of her mouth easily, a flirty undertone to her words. She observed his response, waiting to see if he would soften or blush at the unexpected comment.
Jungkook, however, remained unfazed by the compliment. He met her gaze with a composed expression, his professional demeanor not wavering. He was used to receiving compliments about his looks, and he knew it was mostly surface-level.
He cleared his throat and shifted the topic of conversation, making it clear that he was not interested in engaging in flirtatious banter. "Let's get down to business, shall we? We have a lot to discuss."
Despite Areum's attempts to break through his professional facade, Jungkook remained focused on the task at hand. He was there to discuss business, not to engage in flirting or small talk.
