Chapter 24

Jake POV
"They're almost here." I informed my dad who was adjusting his suit.
I watched as he cleared his throat before checking his appearance using his phone one more time,
"Dad, are you nervous or something?" I laughed as he scoffed.
"No, how could I be? Don't be silly." He laughed as I nodded, not convinced.
Just then, I felt my phone buzz and quickly picked it up to see that it was a text from Miso.

walking in now, see you love!

I smiled before placing my phone back onto the table just as the 4 walked in.
"Hello!" Dad exclaimed, quickly getting out of his seat to shake their hands.
"Nice to meet you!" Miso's dad smiled as the two fathers shook hands with one another.
I watched as the greetings followed, Miso awkwardly standing beside all of them before they eventually came to sit down.
"What would you like to eat? Their fish here is good." Dad spoke as he handed them the menu as Miso took as seat beside me.

Miso POV
Not long after, school started and prep for the CSATs began.
And I have to admit, we were BUSY.
Like REALLY busy...
All of us spent multiple nights with our heads in our books, sometimes falling asleep on them too.
But, I had my heart set out for one school.
Seoul National University.
But... it was tough. Everyday was tiring.
How I wish that I could just curl up in bed the whole week just watching shows and eating my favourite snacks.
And it wasn't any better that only Aureum was in my homeroom this year.

I sighed as I walked out of school.
The sky was dark and the night was quiet.
"Geez... how long was I in there for?" I mumbled, looking at the time on my phone.
'8.04pm'
"Shoot! I'm so late, I gotta go home right now!" I exclaimed, running towards the bus stop.
I huffed as I reached the bus stop, almost out of breath.
I waited for a while until I saw a car pull up.
Jake's car.
I smiled as he winded down his window.
"Get in love! I'll drive you back." Jake smiled before I hopped in.
"How did you know I was here?" I asked happily as he helped me buckle my seatbelt.
"Aureum told me you took extra lessons after school and went to the library to study later so I'd thought I'd come get you." He smiled before handing me a bag.
"What's this?" I asked, taking it.
"Gummies." He informed before driving off.

6 months later
Hwayoung POV
"Soo... How was you paper?" Hajoon asked as I shrugged.
"It wasn't too bad. What about you?" I asked as he nodded.
"Same for me." He replied awkwardly as we continued walking.
I watched as Hajoon suddenly stopped in his tracks, causing me to stop too.
"I..." He started, hesitant.

"I like you!" He blurted out as I stared at him in shock.
"Sorry I just..." He groaned, looking away.
"No it's alright..." I said, clearing my throat.
"I'm sorry! I just... I don't know what Iw as thinking oh my gosh I really shouldn't have done that I-" I quickly held his upper arms, cauing him to stop.
"I like you too." I blurted out, my cheeks all red.

2 months later
Jake POV
"Over here!" I shouted once I spotted Miso and Aureum.
They quickly turned around before Miso began running up to me.
I pulled her in for a hug as she held onto me tightly.
"Happy graduation love." I smiled, pulling away before handing her a bouquet that I had bought on my way here.
"Tulips! My favourite!" She exclaimed, jumping up before my arms snaked around her waist.
"And they're purple too." I pointed out as she let out a chuckle.
"Happy graduation." She smiled before placing a peck on my lip.
"Ewww you two are so touchy! We're in school for goodness sake!" Hwayoung huffed, pulling us apart.
"Eyy babe just let them have some couple time." Hajoon huffed as Hwayoung quickly turned around, her face all red.
"BABE???" We all exclaimed as Hajoon's face went red.
"Geez Hwayoung, I literally told you about Jake and I the next day and you didn't even bother telling us???" Miso huffed, annoyed.
Hwayoung laughed nervously before pulling the girls away.
"Wait you told her about us the next day?" I asked, inching forward.
"You're acting lime you didn't tell me right when you got home!" Hajoon huffed.
"You told him right after you got home?" Miso gasped as I pushed Hajoon away.
"What?? I didn't, let's ignore him, he's the issue now anyway." I smiled as she agreed.
