As dawn begins its graceful dance
The sunlight's kiss
A tender trance
It paints the world with hues so bright
And in its warmth
All things ignite
The waves, the shimmer, the gleam, the play
Reflecting gold at the break of day
While grass beneath springs to life
In emerald robes banishing strife
Each flower wakes with sweet perfume
In morning's glow they proudly bloom
Amidst the beauty I stand alone
A heart untamed with a soul unknown
Beneath the oak where shadows sway
I watch them form in a soft array
But distant is their gaze from me
A bittersweet reality
How can I
A simple bloom
Impress them with my fragile plume
While they, a daisy of fiery grace
With radiant hues holds all in place
Yet this morning I dare to dream
Though torn apart by love's cruel scheme
For even as I pine and yearn
The sunrise teaches
I must learn
So as the night fades into day
I'll bask in dawn's celestial display
And though they may not choose me
I'll find my peace beneath the tree
