As my feet softly tread
Echoes linger as whispers wed
The tale of endings gently bends
But to know it's the end, it never ends
A sunset melts into the night
A final burst of crimson light
Yet darkness now consumes the glow
A quiet void where dreams won't grow
The closing of a lover's door
A whispered goodbye but nothing more
Love's sweet ache remains behind
A haunting chill that time can't bind
The final notes of a song played
In silence melodies now cascade
A book concludes its pages closed
Yet in the mind, the story grows
Resounding in the heart's deep core
A silent ache forevermore
For every end, a chill descends
A solemn echo that time sends
Yet in the stillness, seeds do lie
Awaiting dawn to kissing the sky
In knowing ends, we grasp the thread
That nothing ends, though it be said
From ashes rise the dreams that mend
A testament to life's unending blend
