"What are you doing here?" I managed to ask, trying to keep my voice steady despite the surprise. He looked taken aback by my question, then replied somewhat defensively, "Are you stalking me?"
"I would never do that. You're not my type! Ang lakas ng trip mo huh! Tsaka bakit ka ba nakikipag-usap sa akin eh di ba 'don't talk to strangers' nga," I said firmly.
Instead of getting defensive or angry, he surprised me by smiling. "Oh, I'm sorry for that. I thought you were stalking me, Yeah your right dont talk to stanger but are we strangers?" he chuckled lightly.
I rolled my eyes, trying to mask my annoyance. "Yeah, we are definitely strangers," I muttered under my breath
"definitely a stranger," he said with a smirk, then continued, "Oh, it's just a one-night stand though," he chuckled.
I blinked in surprise, my embarrassment turning to disbelief at his unexpected comment. His smirk faded as he seemed to realize the impact of his words.
"I-I didn't mean..." he stammered, his expression shifting to genuine concern.
He paused abruptly in his sentence when I interrupted, marahil iniisip niya na naapektuhan ako sa sinasabi niya.
"Yeah, definitely a one-night stand, kaya iwasan nating masyadong maging seryoso. So, why are you here?" I asked casually, without seeming too curious.
Instead of answering, he moved closer, almost touching me, and asked, "How's your neck?"
My cheeks got even hotter, and I nervously touched the faint mark left behind, feeling suddenly self-conscious.
I asked him curiously, "How did you know about my neck?"
He paused, his eyes unsure. Then, with a smirk, he quietly admitted, "Because... I'm the one who did it.
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" I asked him sharply, my tone filled with disbelief and a hint of anger.
He chuckled lightly, his response only fueling my frustration. "I always do that to everyone," he said casually, as if it were some harmless prank.
I stepped back in shock, feeling anger well up inside. Before I could respond, he took hold of my hands and drew me nearer. His voice softened as he whispered,
"I'm just teasing you. Don't worry, I only did it to you... besides, it's my first time too."
"You... what?" I managed to utter, my voice barely above a whisper.
He released my hands gently and took a step back, his expression earnest now. "I mean it. I've never done that before. You think I've done that to many?"
"Yes!" I blurted out immediately, my voice filled with frustration and disbelief.
He laughed, a sound that irritated me at that moment. "You're so judgmental," he said, shaking his head as if finding my reaction amusing.
"You can't blame me. You're a known player. Maybe you do that to every woman you meet," I said sharply, unable to hide my frustration.
He raised an eyebrow, his expression playful. "You think I'm like that?" he asked, a touch of amusement in his voice.
"Absolutely, yes," I said firmly, sticking to my point despite his teasing. His laughter just made me more annoyed.
"You're really judgmental, you know," he remarked between laughs, shaking his head at my accusation.
"I have every right to be," I said to him, crossing my arms defensively.
Hindi naman kasi kapani-paniwala yung sinabi niya. Sa mukha niyang 'yan? Sinong niloko niya?
He sighed, his laughter fading as he looked at me seriously. "Okay, I admit I kiss them, but that's it. We don't go any further than that. You should be thanking me for helping you ease the heat of the moment..."
"I told you we should forget what happened," I reminded him, sounding frustrated.
He smirked a bit, looking at me with a hint of amusement. "I did," he casually admitted.
"Then why are you here?" I asked pointedly, folding my arms across my chest.
He casually shrugged. "Maybe it's a coincidence. I was buying dog food, and then I saw you. I remembered the thing on your neck that I gave you, so I thought I'd give you this ointment," he explained without hesitation.
I blinked, surprised by his honest answer. His relaxed manner and how he avoided the awkwardness of our last meeting.
"Are you a doctor? You're giving me some kind of medicine, just like what you gave me last night," I questioned, curiosity and suspicion mixing in my voice.
He smiled knowingly, a hint of mischief dancing in his eyes. Shrugging casually, he replied, "Maybe."
He chuckled at my question.
"Use it," he said calmly, with a playful smile. As he turned away, his voice barely audible over the parking lot noise, he added, "Expect we will meet again."
His words made me shiver. I wanted to yell at him, to tell him to never bother me again, but the presence of other people nearby held me back. Instead, I bit my lip and ignored his confusing words, and just focused on getting into my car.
