Rhine was alive, and he had no idea on how he felt about it. TR had committed, but he was still alive. How was this possible?

Rhine wished that it was all a nightmare, the whole war and everything.

But it wasn't a nightmare. This was real. His family was dead, and he was the sole survivor. At least, that's what he knew.

"Hey, Rhine?"

Rhine was startled out of his thoughts from hearing that, having completely forgotten that he was not alone. He turned his head to the side to look at USSR, finding that his vision was less blurry, and he could see some of the scars on her face.

The scars mainly snaked out from under her eyepatch, looking painful where they were. One crossed the bridge of her nose and ended right before it reached her left eye. It was kind of squiggly as well.

"Hm?" Rhine asked, his gaze flicking to USSR's amber one.

"Is there anyone else that you know is alive?" USSR asked, her expression concerned. She was leaning forward slightly, which made Rhine shy away from her.

"Not that I know of..." Rhine said softly, shaking his head slightly. The pain had lessened, strangely enough.

"Alright, just East, West, Joleanna, and Hans then."

What the- Rhine was confused. East and West? Those were directions, were they not? Who are Joleanna and Hans?

"I'll introduce you to them tomorrow, for now focus on resting, okay?" USSR said, gently putting a hand on Rhine's shoulder.

"Don't touch me," Rhine snarled, recoiling. He had only allowed TR to touch him, and only because they were twins. He didn't mind it if someone accidentally brushed against him, but being touched on purpose - even if it wasn't in a weird way - was a no.

USSR immediately pulled back and put her hands up in a gesture of slight surrender. "No touching unless absolutely necessary, got it." She then set her hands in her lap, looking at the door before saying, "I'm going to go now, try to get some sleep."

Rhine huffed and settled back onto his back, hurting a bit more than before. But when he closed his eyes, it was only moments before sleep took him.
