I looked up at Colby out of breath as he laid on top of me. I chuckled and ran my fingers threw his damp hair and up and down his back. That was the most intense sex I've ever had.

"Are you alright"? He nodded and exhaled heavily. "Nothing I can't handle love." He said as he kissed my forehead.

I sighed heavily as he nuzzled into my neck. I rubbed his back gently as he looked up at me with soft eyes and sighed.

"Aww was I too much for Mr. grouch..."? I said teasing him pinching his cheek.

"You wear me out women." He said exasperated as he snuggled me adorably.

I chuckled. "You're so cute." I said as I kissed the top of his head. We cuddled for a while to calm down from that work out we just endured. It was so nice to see this softer side of Colby that you don't get to see in him that often.

I got up to take a shower and change into some pajamas. I went to go sit down on the couch; Colby came out of the bedroom wearing nothing but his black ripped jeans. He sat down next to me and looked at me confused.

"So...what was that all about"? He asked putting his hand on mine. "Look." I said looking at him nervously.

"I get a little horny after feeding ok." He looked skeptical.

"A little' huh"?

"What ever do you mean"? I giggled.

"Oh, I don't know maybe the fact that you were about to shred me like a lion going through puberty." He said sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Yeah, that's normal, you better get used to it. I'm still debating whether I want to kill you or not."

"I don't mind getting used to it, it's pretty hot." He said smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"So, I take that this wasn't your first time"? he asked. I laughed. "Are you kidding...of course not..." I spoke. "Yeah, I could tell." He said sarcastically. "Was it yours?" he shook his head, "Nope".

I chuckled and laid my head on the arm of the couch, and he laid his head on my chest nuzzling into my neck. I softly ran my finger through his hair and up and down his back.

I giggled as he sighed tiredly. "So, what now"?  he asked.

"What do you mean"? I asked sitting up as he did the same.

"Where do we go from here, are we even a 'we'"? He said taking my hand.

"I like all the things about you Rae, your beauty, your insights, your humor, how you can take control when you want to," I smiled as he put his hand on my cheek and caressed it with his thumb.

"I like you a lot too, but the war between our species, we would be annihilated." I said concerned as he moved the hair from the side of my face. "I know." He said pleadingly putting his hands in his lap.

"Friends with benefits"? he said with a shrug. "I think that's the best we can do for now." I spoke as I sighed, "Ok." He said sweetly putting as I my hand on his. "Wait." he spoke nervously.

I gave him a worried look as I narrowed my eyes with concern, "What is it?" I asked.

"You are on birth control, right"? I shook my head. "Nope, I can't get pregnant if that's what your worried about." I said laughing.

"Come again"? he asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Dhampirs can only get pregnant by a pure-blooded vampire.?

"Are you absolutely positive"? I nodded.

"Works for me." He said kissing me again. I sighed as Blake came bursting through the door running towards us as I pulled away panicked.
