Many years ago, a little boy wandered through the forest of Hage village, looking for a place to practice his magic. This boys name, was Yuno, a wind magic prodigy and child of the church.
He was walking through the woods, the snow crunching beneath his feet, and the wind blowing through his hair. He was young, determined to make himself stronger after the unfortunate events that had unfolded the day prior. His one and only twin brother, not by blood, had gotten hurt protecting him, even though he doesn't have magic himself. It's because of this that Yuno swore to become stronger, to be worthy of calling himself his rival.
As Yuno was walking through the barren forest, the leafless trees swaying around, a speck of green caught his eye. There was no life around, not a single sprig of grass nor the chirp of a bird, so what was this random color?
As he approached it, he realized what it was.....a flower. The most beautiful flower he had ever seen. It was as white as the snow around it, and it glowed like the moon.
As he reached down to gaze at it closer, he realized that it wasn't simply sprouting from the ground. It was on a vine, with many more flowers along the way. He realized quickly that the enchanting glow was caused from an unbelievable amount of mana, unlike he had ever seen.
He felt compelled to follow the vine, but it led deeper into the woods, towards the great titans skull. He was hesitant to go, but his curiosity got the better of him, so he went.
As he followed the vine of flowers, he couldn't help but notice how the world around him started to change. The once desolate forest now had trees adorned with white leaves, green grass flowed beneath his feet, and everywhere he looked there were since of life, yet he knew that none of it was natural. Every part of it was caused by mana, an intense, powerful amount of it, but it didn't scare him. Instead, it felt comforting and kind, warm like the sun.
He kept going, approaching the skull closer, but he had been so invested with all of the beauty that he had failed to notice how he entered the skull. Even inside the remains of a truly terrifying monster, he felt safe as the glow of the flowers guided his path.
Finally, as he went deeper, he enter a large cavern, unlike anything he had seen before. The vines of flowers covered the walls and ceiling, the grass filled the floor, and in the middle of it all was a large pond connected to a water fall.
But none of this was what truly amazed Yuno, no. It was the boy sitting at the edge of the water, practicing his grimoire. He was no older than Yuno, so how he had a grimoire was a mystery.
Yuno stared at the boy in awe. The only thing Yuno could think of to describe him as was an angel. His flowing white hair like the flowers that surrounded him, his blue eyes like the crystal water that sounded in his ear, and the kind, gentle expression on his face as he stared at the life around him. What could Yuno say? He was beautiful.
And his grimoire was no different. It was rather unique. It was a green grimoire with a white clove leaf in the middle. It also had the two bottom corners gone, as if it were meant to connect to another. He didn't know what to make of it, but it was powerful to say the least.
As Yuno unconsciously stepped towards the boy, he accidentally stepped on one of the flowers, it didn't make any sound, but assuming that they had been grown by the boys magic, it was safe to say that he knew Yuno was there.
"Hello?" The boys voice was soft and elegant, just like his appearance, and the look in his eyes as he gazed at Yuno was one of friendliness.
"I-I'm....Yuno" Yuno spoke out as he stood before the boy, nervous about being caught in a place where he shouldn't be.
"It's nice to meet you..." he smiled kindly at Yuno, his smile glowing like everything else around him. "I'm Y/N"
From that day on, Yuno would visit him regularly. Y/n would help him with magic and fighting, and Yuno would keep him company. The two of them were close friends. Yuno had never bothered to tell His brother Asta about Y/n, nor had he told Y/n about anyone at the church. He wasn't sure why, but a part of him wanted to keep y/n to himself.
However, one day, Yuno stopped showing up, and without his friend, Y/n grew lonely. So he did the only thing he could do, he left the cave in search of new friends, a family......a home.
Maybe one day Yuno and Y/n will reunite....maybe there will be others along the way...who knows, but in three weeks, is the grimoire ceremony of Hage village. Maybe Y/n should go? Even though he already has a grimoire. What's the worst that could happen? He gets another grimoire?
(I know it's short, it's just the prologue)
