They Hate Me?

'Huh?'
I stared at him, blinking, completely unsure of what he meant. He let out a long sigh, sitting up with one leg bent, resting his elbow on it.
"You didn't know what a push up was called, you don't act like a normal kid, you nearly said skull when asked where you were from, and to top it all off, I can feel two different types of mana coming from you. Not to mention how weird your ki is." Well now I wish I was back to the confusion, cause the stress I was feeling was much harder to handle.
"Uh, well, uh..."
"Spit it out." His tone was surprisingly harsh. I didn't understand why he was being so cold to me all of a sudden.
"You're joining my team, my family, and right now I don't trust you. That's not gonna work."

I took a deep breath in, before looking up at him. "It's...a bit of a long story..." He just moved over on the bed, signalling for me to sit, so I did.
The two of us spent the whole night talking about my past, starting from when Yuno found me. Everything before that was going to stay a mystery, at least for now. Anyway, it ended with me showing him my second grimoire, which he had spent a long time looking through.
"Well kid, that's a lot to take in...but I know you're not lying." The wave of relief I felt was immense, since it meant that he trusted me.
"Wait...so you don't don't know how to read or write?" He looked down at me, tilting his head and puffing out smoke.
"Um, I can read my grimoire!" He hit me on the head. It wasn't hard or anything, more like playful. "You're grimoire is in a language I've never heard of before, that doesn't do anything. Look, when I'm free and you're not on a mission, I'll teach you to read, okay? Now go to bed, it's nearly midnight. And stay away from my pets." I got up from the bed when he said to go to bed, turning back to him as he mentioned his animals."But I love the puppies!" I smiled, which was not returned.
"They're not puppies!" I giggled and walked away, trying to see my way back to my room.

-Yami's POV-

'God, what am I going to do with that kid?'

"And what is up with his ki?"Yami spoke the last part aloud, laying back on his bed and putting out his cigarette. With a loud sigh he went to sleep, a small semblance of a smile on his face.

-Y/n's POV-

I'm lost. I am so very very lost. Hmm...what's behind this ominous door with a strangely dark aura? Let's see!
I opened the door slowly, a strange dark force was seeping out of it. I don't know how to explain it, but it was almost as if it was draining my mana. This however, didn't really affect me considering the copious amounts I possess.
"Hello?"
I peaked my head into the room. It was dark, very hard to see, but right after I spoke, a lamp turned on, or rather, someone turned on a lamp.
"Hel...lo~"
The voice nearly gave me a heart attack, but I quickly realized that it was a person...a person with a lot of hair. It was white like mine, but much more unkempt, and it covered his eyes. I stepped in slowly, closing the door behind me.
"Uh, hi! I'm y/n, you are?"
He was sitting on a bed, wearing simply white clothes, but from the Black Bulls robe on a nearby chair, I could tell that he was part of the squad.
"He...n...ry." He spoke really slowly, but it didn't really matter to me.
"Nice to meet you Henry! Wanna talk for a bit?" He nodded at me, probably figuring that it was a quicker answer. And so we did. He told me about how he was cursed and could control the hideout, which is how it shifts. He also told me how I shouldn't be around him, but I just gave him a hug instead, thoroughly surprising him. I explained how I had more than enough mana to spare, but that I wouldn't be able to stay around for too long, he was just happy that I could stay at all. Eventually, and I'm not sure how, we ended up here, with me braiding his hair until the sun came up.
"Oh, I should probably go Henry, the squad will be up soon. Could you, uh, lead the way?" He chuckled, it was a slow chuckle, but one nonetheless. "Su...re. Bye....bye...Y...N."
"Bye Henry!" I waved him goodbye as I stepped out of his room, the hallway turning into a straight path for me to follow, thanks to Henry.

Well, I am extremely tired now, guess I'll just sleep on the couch in the main room. And that's exactly what I did. I followed Henry's path until I reached the main room, laying down on the couch and using my robe as a little blanket to block the light from my eyes. After that, I took a well warranted nap.

I'm not sure how long I was asleep, but when I did wake up, it was to a bunch of hushed whispers. Considering yesterday's first impression of the squad, I was half expecting an explosion to knock me off the couch, but no. Instead, as I opened my eyes and peaked out from underneath my robe, almost the entire squad, excluding Gray and Charmie, were surrounding me. They were all staring, whispering to each other.
"H-Huh?" I sat up, alarming them, as they didn't realize I was awake.
"S-sorry...am I not allowed to sleep here?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes. They all started acting weird, looking around, whistling, or doing something else along those lines. Well, everyone except Yami.
"No, you're fine, but why aren't you in your room?" He asked, sitting down on the opposite couch while the others walked off, excluding Asta who sat next to me.
"Couldn't find it." "Yeah! This place is like a maze!" Yami shushed him immediately. "It's too early for this, go do your chores." "YES SIR!" Asta then ran off to do chores he was apparently assigned.
"Oh, do I have chores too?" Yami shook his head. "Nah, you'll be busy studying." I nodded at him, understanding what he meant. He then stood up with a sigh."Next time, just ask me to take you." And with that he walked away.

'What?'
What did he mean,'ask him to take me'? Oh, he probably means to my room. It's fine, I'll just ask Henry for help. Anyway, I laid my chest against the couch, raising my hips and stretching, similar to how a cat does it. At least, that was what Yuno said when he first saw me do it. I'm not sure why, but it's always been a habit for me to do when I wake up. After I stretched I stood up and looked around at the others. It was odd, they turned away from me quickly, doing the whistling busy work thing. Did I make them upset? I hope not...I want them to be my friends. Why don't I go talk to Finral, I think he likes me somewhat at least.
He was leaning against a wall, his head buried in a paper of some sort. I'm not really sure, but the big words were on the bottom of the page, so I think it was upside down. Maybe that's just how they do it here, I don't know.
"Hey, Finral." he jumped a little when I spoke, slowly lowering the paper as he turned to me.
"A-ahem, yes?" His voice sounded weird, it was kinda high pitched at first then it went to normal. I realized that his face was also red.
"Oh, are you okay? Your face is red?" I reached my hand up and set it against his forehead. "You want me to heal y-" I was in the middle of speaking when he pulled my arm away from him, snapping his face to the side as well.
"I'm fine!"
And then he walked away.

'Why is everyone avoiding me...do they hate me?'
