My friend wanted Vee x Shelly and never clarified, so she's getting angst (love you pookie)
Characters : Vee, Shelly, Scraps, brief mentions of the other mains/toons

  Shelly always liked Vee, it was obvious, anyone could tell! Shelly had a feeling that Vee didn't like her back, I mean, she was distant and didn't really care for what she had to say! It was sad for Shelly, but that's okay..maybe one day Vee will like her back! Of course, she will, she had hope!
  It was painstakingly obvious that Vee didn't feel the same for Shelly, she didn't really like anyone! She only saw people as mutuals or peers, she had better things than crushes or actual friends. So, she definitely didn't really have time for Shelly.

  "Oh, hi Vee!" Shelly exclaimed excitedly, waving to her. Vee just scoffed and slightly waved back.
  "Hey." She said, rolling her eyes. She didn't care to have a conversation with Shelly. She didn't want to talk to her, since she was aware of Shelly's "small" crush on her. Shelly noticed her annoyed expression at Shelly's arrival.
  "Are you alright, Vee?" She asked, looking at her a little concerned.
  "I'm fine, why do you care?" Vee responded, a bit of bitterness in her voice.
  "Because I care about you?" Shelly responded, looking a bit disappointed. Vee just nodded and walked off. Shelly sighed and looked down disappointed, why was Vee so distant? Pebble happened to come by and rub against her leg, as if to comfort her. It made her smile, a little, only a little.

  Over and over, Vee always happened to ignore Shelly or has brief and dry conversations with her. It always upset her a little, some toons were also aware, and by aware I mean she told them since she could trust them. She told Scrap, Goob, Poppy, and Tisha. They'd usually comfort her when she looked down about the whole situation. I mean, maybe Vee wasn't trying to be that rude! She was busy with her game show, Scrap could confirm, she wins a lot of the rewards, and it annoys Vee.
  Shelly wasn't really ever invited to participate, was it because Vee didn't want to deal with her crush? Yeah, most definitely.

   Shelly was sitting in a bean bag chair after another failed conversation with Vee. Scraps walked over and sat next to her.
   "You good, Shelly? Are you upset about Vee?" She asked reaching her hand out to rub Shelly's back. She felt bad that Shelly was in this situation. She knew Vee would never like her back, or maybe even like anyone.
    "Yeah...that's exactly why I'm upset. When we first met she was somewhat nice to me! But now she's distant and doesn't like holding up conversations with me. When...when I see her with other toons, she has actual conversations with them! Or they end up on her stupid game show!"
    "I get that ur upset, I'm sorry ur in this situation, must be hard."
    "Yeah.."
    "Maybe it'll get better and you'll take a liking to different toon!" Scraps suggested, smiling at Shelly as she continued to rub her back.
    "I don't even know why I'm crushing on her anymore... she's rude to me..."
    "I guess that's just how ur heart feels. Soon enough it'll get better! Trust me." Scraps purposed , getting up and brushing herself off, soon holding her hand out for Shelly to take. Shelly slightly grinned, taking Scraps hand as she stood up to dust herself off.
    "If you want, you can tell me about something you like!" Scraps suggested, wanting to make Shelly happy.
    "Do you wanna hear about fossils?" Shelly asked, smiling at Scraps. Scraps nodded, happy to see that her suggestion made Shelly happier, and maybe even distracted her from the whole situation!

   Shelly and Scraps seemed to grow closer over the span of a few weeks. Vee noticed, at first she was relieved that she wasn't being pestered by stupid Shelly, but after a while Vee started to miss the constant "how are you!"s from Shelly, the genuine questions that she'd ask because she was genuinely curious about her day! She couldn't miss her, no! She really didn't like Shelly...so why did she miss her? She can't have a crush on Shelly...no... there's no way! She never liked any toon before, and she won't start now! She's fine with not liking a toon, or being "romantically" inclined with them.
   Still, she couldn't help but miss the heartfelt questions Shelly asked. Maybe..maybe she'll invite her on her game show, just this once.

"Hey, Shelly" Vee exclaimed, walking over to her when she was alone, smirking.
"Oh! Uhm...hey!" Shelly responded, looking at Vee a little frightened, she was zoned out and wasn't expecting anyone to talk to her!
"Let me do you a favor and invite you onto my show, it'd be worth it. I think Scraps will be making an appearance there too." Vee explained, hoping that Shelly would agree, why wouldn't she? She knew Shelly was basically head over heels for her!

"I...I,"Shelly started, "I...I'm sorry but I just don't think I have the time to."
"Oh...well, that's alright! I'd love to have you on there." Vee said, sounding a little bit disappointed. She walked off.

This was a total lost cause. Shelly regretted saying no, and Vee regretted asking. It was all so stupid! What was the point? Stupid feelings...stupid...stupid...feelings.
