Family Vacation!

So I'm currently at Kalahari, loved it so far, and I got this idea for a short fanfic. (I'm currently writing this on a pullout couch while my family taste tests cookies)

Toons : Shrimpo, Rodger, Teagan, and Toodles
This is legit just gonna be my headcanon. They a happy family in my heart >:(

4 toons went on a "family" vacation, the four toons consisted of the two parent figures; Rodger and Teagan, and the two "children" who were Shrimpo and Toodles. Where were they going? Who knows, I'm pretty sure only Rodger knew and wanted to surprise the rest; they were just going to a simple hotel with a nice pool, and some sight seeing places! How nice of him, to finally take a break of his overbearing job to hang out with his "family."

Toodles seemed the most excited, sitting in the back with Shrimpo as she kicked her legs, looking out the window excitedly. Shrimpo on the other hand, could really care less, he just went because Teagan forced him to.

Soon enough they were on the road! Yippie! Toodles stared at all the signs that passed by, smiling and reading them as fast as she could before they passed by. Occasionally, she'd ask if they were there yet, and Rodger would deny saying they'd be there soon enough. Shrimpo didn't even understand why the kid next to him was so excited for something that could be super sucky?

"I really like going in cars, but at the same time they can be scary if you really think about it-" Toodles got cut off.

"WERE GONNA CRASH." Shrimpo yelled, it caused Rodger to swerve slightly. The driver behind him beeped and drove up next to him...holy shit was that pebble driving? When the fuck did a dog get a drivers license?? Oh..whatever.

"EEK-!!" Toodles yelped.

"And what was ur reason for saying that?" Teagan said, turning around and looking at Shrimpo disapprovingly. Shrimpo just shrugged and looked away, while Toodles shook like a leaf for a few seconds.

"Apologize to Toodles, I thought I would've taught you better." Teagan said, she really was acting like a mom!

"UR NOT EVEN MY... (sigh) ...sorry." Shrimpo said begrudgingly, glancing at Toodles who seemed more calmed down. Teagan nodded in approval, knowing that's as close as they'd all get to a sincere apology from Shrimpo, she then turned back to Rodger, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"And are you alright?" She asked in her usual calm and affectionate voice. Rodger nodded, keeping his eye on the rode. He never got distracted easily, so it was no problem trying to not get distracted by Teagans kind action. She smiled softly and took her hand off his shoulder, looking back towards the road, and occasionally at the signs.

The drive was awfully quiet, besides toodles asking if they were there yet every five minutes, which Rodger would always respond with "soon enough."

They soon pulled into a gas station, Shrimpo looked confused and so did Toodles, not really Teagan though.

"Is this IT? A small GAS STATION?!" Shrimpo exclaimed, looking at Rodger angrily. Rodger shook his head no (well magnifying glass but shut up)

"No, this isn't it, we're just here to get snacks and a possible bathroom break. That's all" Rodger responded calmly, getting out of the car and the other 3 did the same. Toodles ran inside alongside Shrimpo, to get any snacks of their choosing.

"Ur really good with dealing with situations." Rodger complimented Teagan, taking her hand as she got out of the car. Teagan smiled as she took his hand, kissing his cheek.

"I can't just let them act out, I think you can be good in situations too." Teagan complimented him back, letting go of his hand as she walked inside. Rodger couldn't help but feel a bit of butterflies in his stomach, but he suppressed them, he had always liked Teagan. He followed Teagan in after a bit of standing there.

The road-trip went well after they left the gas station, everyone had the snacks and drinks they wanted, and Toodles even got herself a small toy. When they got to the actual hotel that went well too, Shrimpo and Toodles were both excited to go in the pool for different reasons. Overall the whole trip was great! Especially the sight seeing.

(I imagined them all as my human headcanon while writing this lol)
