Goob x Shrimpo angst, eat up gang 🤑

Gardenview was a place full of wonders and toons with vast personalities.
(Almost...) Everyone got along and they always worked together and valued their friendships. It was always a happy day with memorable lessons and endless possibilities with every step...

Except.. That's how it was portrayed in the show.

Goob was addicted to watching all the old clips and series from the show that was made all about him and his friends. Such a beautiful, colorful paradise that the show offered. Of course, the show wasn't made for the toons, it was made for the kids so they could be plaqued with the lies of "Everything is amazing and everyone gets along!" But of course, Goob didn't know that nor did anyone want to tell him.

While kids looked at the show, they normally saw toons always getting along no matter what, but in the tough reality of it, they really didn't. Vee and Dandy were extremely tense towards each other, Tisha and Vee clearly disliked each other for whatever reasons, Brightney has a throwing-books-at-people-out-of-anger obsession, Vee hated Scraps for her lucky guesses in every round and... Wow there's a lot of beef between Vee and others.

Goob didn't like to think of it much, he'd much rather be as good of a friend as he could instead of letting the dark cloud of negativity loom over him. Ever since the place shut down and the ichor made most of them go insane, the entire Gardenview wasn't as cheery as it used to be.

Through all the misery and dread of what had happened, Goob found joy in many things... Along with one toon in particular.

Shrimpo, so cruel and mean and nasty to everyone all the time and every day.
He wasn't even portrayed as happy in the show either, he was just seen as a complete bitch. That's one thing Goob found nice about him, he never changed. The situation of what happened didn't seem to affect him on the outside like everyone else. Goob wondered how he was so strangely brave and vigilant to any situation.. Could he be like him one day? Goob couldn't help but to admire and love him, he always looked up to him and saw the good in him behind his sour expression.

Everyday Shrimpo would shove him away whenever he wanted to hug him, insult him whenever he got too clingy, or just stared unamused at him for a couple minutes before violently banging his head on a machine, but despite all that, Goob never gave up and always went to him.

Today was the day...
Goob felt he didn't wanna hide his feelings any longer, despite the signs being very clear, he may as well make it official.

Goob walked down the hallway, listening for any sound of Shrimpo tearing up something or yelling at someone. It wasn't long before Goob heard him shouting "FUCK YOU VEE! I HATE YOUR STUPID GAMESHOWS AND YOUR STUPID MICROPHONE!"

"Get the fuck out of my room, Shrimpo!" Vee yelled back.
The sound of something hard being thrown could be heard along with a loud "OW!"

Shrimpo came storming out of the room, sneering at Vee as she violently shut the door on him.
Goob's expression immediately lit up with joy, running over to Shrimpo and reaching out to hug him. "Hi Shrimpo!" He said as his arms were shoved away by Shrimpo, looking at him with a pissed expression. It didn't really affect Goob, it was a daily occurrence. Shrimpo groaned with annoyance "What do you want.."

Goob stalled.
How does he even tell him? Did he think about what to say at all?

"Uhh, well... I wanted to tell you that you might be one of the most amazing toons I've met.."
Shrimpo eyed him, his expression turning from less irritated to slightly more confused "..And?"
"I .. I .. I really love you Shrimpo!"
