How exhausting it was to run a gameshow.
At least once a week Vee would have to host one, why? For all the other toons' entertainment and to keep her fame. Multiple toons were big fans and adored her- Well- By multiple, that meant a few. She used to have a ton of fans which were the children when they used to come to Gardenview, but of course, Dandy ruined it all for her and everyone else...

She just finished with her previous gameshow, absolutely PISSED.
How the fuck did Scraps win the top prize WITH LUCKY GUESSES?? AGAIN?? It made Vee want to throw her as hard as she could into twisted Pebble's teeth. Stupid smartass paper craft...

Vee swung open the door to her room, irritatedly walking over and collapsing onto her bed. She sighed, shifting around uncomfortably in her bed until she suddenly felt something underneath her. Vee sat up and grabbed an envelope out from under the blanket, eyeing it for a moment before opening it.

Her entire mood switched around as she read the heart warming letter from Shelly.

Dear Vee,
You looked like you had a bad day. I wanted to see you, maybe bake something?
Only if you want to!

But it'd be really nice if you showed...

Meet me at 6PM in the Kitchen?

-Shelly

Vee smiled as she reread the letter one last time, then neatly folding it and putting it back in the envelope. She checked her watch, It was currently 5:45 PM. Maybe Vee could beat her to the Kitchen before she could. Vee stood up from her bed and switched her normal bow out for a slightly fancier one she wore on rare occasions. It was shiny and green with gems embedded into it.

Shelly was sweet, but terrible at hiding her admiration for Vee. Out of everyone in Gardenview, she could tell Shelly was always excited to see her the most. She always went to Vee for comfort whenever she was upset, and although it was really hard for her to give any source of comfort, Vee tried her best.

Vee couldn't lie... She's grown a love for Shelly.
Maybe she could finally tell today...

Vee stepped out of her room and shut the door behind her, the envelope from Shelly still in hand. She reached down to put it in her pocket when a black figure darted past, snatching the envelope from her hand. Vee quickly spun around, watching the young eightball dash down the hallway with her envelope. "H-HEY! TOODLES GIVE IT BACK!" Vee yelled, running after her. She was slower compared to her, so it was hard not to lose her, especially when she tried escaping between small spaces.

Vee stalled, entirely out of breath. She looked up from the ground and stared irritatedly at Toodles who just stopped and stared from afar. Toodles opened the envelope, scanning the short letter with a confused expression. She looked up from the letter and turned to face Vee once more.

"Vee.. Are you a lesbian?"

"WHAT?!"

"Oh my god Toodles." Rodger said, running past Vee and stopping over by Toodles "This is the fourth time this week! For the last time, there are no stickers hidden in peoples mail!" Toodles looked up at him, frowning. "Now go give Vee back her letter, and please stop stealing envelopes."

Toodles walked over to Vee and placed the letter in her hand, disappointed there were no stickers. "Very sorry about Toodles." Rodger said. "It's fine." Vee muttered in response, folding the letter and putting it in her pocket. Vee watched as Rodger and Toodles turned and went down the hallway until they were out of sight.

"Hehe! Toodles am I right?"

Vee nearly jumped out of her skin, quickly turning around to find Shelly appearing out of her hiding spot. She had been watching her chaotic chase to get her letter back. "Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." Shelly quickly said, walking over to Vee. "It's okay. I was just on my way to see you..." Vee replied. "Me too... That was until I heard a little child take off with the letter I sent you!" She giggled.

As Shelly stopped laughing, silence fell between the two. Vee awkwardly looked away for a moment before turning back to Shelly "...Wanna walk together?" Shelly looked over to her and smiled "Of course!" Shelly took Vee's hand, causing her to become slightly flustered. They walked towards the kitchen together, starting to chat on their way...

Hours passed.
The kitchen smelled of warm pastries the two had baked together. It took many tries to actually get something that wasn't burnt and smokey. Shelly and Vee ended up pestering Cosmo for help with the baking, which was the only reason they even succeeded in the first place.

Shelly and Vee stood at the counter, admiring their newly baked cookies. Shelly's gaze shifted to Vee, noticing her expression grow a little more serious. "I have something I'd like to tell you." Vee said, placing a hand over Shelly's. She stared at her, confused and curious for a long moment and Vee tried to collect the words.

"I love you."

Shelly looked as if she was about to explode from the joy of what she had just heard.
"I love you too!" She shouted, hugging Vee tightly. Vee was slightly caught off guard, but willingly hugged back. They stood there in the warm light of the kitchen, refusing to let go of each other.

Vee couldn't recall a time she'd ever felt this much happiness.
Being able to finally have an official love with someone who could love her back.

(They ate cookies together and made out 🤑🤑🤑 the end)
