Caleb
Seth hasn't talked to me or looked at me more than necessary since that night. He leaves the room every time he realizes we're alone. I want things to go back to normal but he won't even be alone with me. I don't know what to do. I decide to send him a message, sitting down on a bench outside the library.
Caleb: can we talk?
Seth: about?
Caleb: you're avoiding me
Seth: I didn't think you noticed
Caleb: of course I did. I figured you wanted space but it's been two weeks. I miss you. I feel like I'm losing you. Am I?
S: Caleb. Cal, I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt you.
C: can we just meet and talk?
S: I don't know. I don't think so.
I sigh, sadness overwhelming me.
C: okay
S: I'm sorry
C: it's ok
S: are you ok?
S: Caleb?
C: I just want to talk
S: I'm sorry
C: I know
S: are you mad?
C: no. I just want to fix things.
S: just give me some time.
Seriously? I've given him nothing but time for two weeks.
C: fine
S: now you're mad
C: I'm frustrated. How much more time do you need?
S: I don't know. Just be patient with me
C: fine
Dinner
Seth enters the Orb and sits with us.
"Hey Caleb."
I ignore him and go grab more food. So what if I'm eating my feelings? When I sit back down, Max turns to me.
"You alright?" he asks.
"Just fine," I say.
