I leave the Orb, walking down the path to Terra house, typing a message to Seth when I run into someone. I stop.
"Sorry," I say, still typing.
Caleb: where are you?
The other person doesn't say anything. I finish typing my message and hit send. I wait for a reply when I hear a ding coming from in front of me. Huh. I look up and lock eyes with Seth.
"Hey brother. I literally just sent you a message," I say.
He just stares at me.
"Seth?"
He walks around me and into the Orb. Weird. I debate following him. Things used to be so easy, uncomplicated. Until that night. Normally, I would follow him, demand he talk to me and end this weirdness. But I can't make myself turn around. I sigh and continue walking. I check my Atlas when I get to my room. Seth still hasn't replied to my message but he saw it.

I slip my shoes on and run to Aer Tower, determined to wait for him. I see him walking towards me twenty minutes later. I use my vampire speed and scoop him up before pushing him against the wall of the building and setting him down.
"Why the fuck are you avoiding me?" I snarl.
He doesn't answer.
"Damn it, Seth. You're my best friend. So why?" I growl.
"I-I'm sorry," he mumbles.
He looks genuinely afraid. Fuck.
"Seth-"
He pushes me off him and storms inside. I stand there in shock. I think I just lost him.
Cal: I'm sorry
Seth has changed Cal's name to Caleb.
Seth: go to hell
Ouch, that hurts
Caleb: Seth, please let's talk
Seth: fuck off
Caleb: Seth
Seth: leave me the fuck alone
*Seth has turned notifications off*
Tears sting my eyes and I run to king's hollow. I collapse on the couch and pull out my Atlas. I message Darius and Max.
Vamp: come to king's hollow
GoldenDragon: what's up?
Vamp: please
Sirenboy: what's wrong?
Vamp: I need you, both of you
I hear a thud on the roof. Darius is here. He drops in and grabs some clothes.
"Where's Max?" I ask.
"Here," he says. "Darius dropped me off outside."
"What happened? Your emotions are a mess," Max says.
"Seth happened. He's been avoiding me and well, he said some things," I say, handing them my Atlas.
They read the thread. Darius looks pissed.
"What happened between you?" Max asks.
"We were drunk at the royalist party and we kissed. And... almost hooked up," I say.
"oh my stars," Max says.
"And now this, I don't know what to do," I say, voice breaking.
"We'll fix this, It'll be okay," Max says.
"Damn right we will," Darius says.
He starts removing his clothes.
"Where are you going?" Max asks.
"I have an idiot werewolf to talk some sense into," Darius growls.
With that, he leaves. We hear a dragon roar in the distance.
