I can't believe how this worked out. I beam and kiss Caleb.

He tells them and returns to me. We head back to the Hollow. Max is there but Darius isn't. I run to him and hug, nuzzling his neck. He returns the hug, rubbing my back.

"Where's Darius?" Caleb asks.
"With Tory, telling her everything," Max says.

"His father was using dark coercion on him. Tory burned it away so he could fight his father. It worked. So now he's with her, making things right. Neither of you knew but he loves her," Max explains.
