Upon Maria's orders, I changed into the uniform Sam had found for me while we were gone. It was a black, sleeveless jumpsuit with a half-zip at the neck. I fastened a utility belt around my waist before finally looking at myself in the mirror. I loved it.
I climbed into the van where everyone waited and sat in the last open seat next to Steve. My eyes scanned his suit and how well it fit him. He removed his mask and his hair had become slightly messy from it.
"New look?" Steve whispered.
I nodded and looked up at him, trying to read his expression. My eyes followed his, watching him scan my outfit.
"It's nice."
"The '40s look good on you, Mister Rogers," I teased, receiving a smile and eye roll from Steve.
As the van finally pulled out of the dam and headed to the Triskeleon, Steve began to debrief us. He and Sam were going to insert the three chips into the carriers.
Natasha would use facial software to change her face into the council woman, and infiltrate the Council meeting, keeping an eye on Pierce while gaining access to a high-level computer. If she could, she was to dump all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secrets onto the internet, which essentially meant HYDRA's secrets as well.
From inside the building, Maria would monitor the status of Project Insight and provide us with frequent updates.
"Addy, if we fail to switch the chips, we need you to destroy the carriers; quickly, before they have the chance to shoot anyone," ordered Steve.
Using pure light to destroy small objects was simple. Creating a platform as large as the carriers would be much more strenuous. And even if I could create a platform that size, I still hadn't thought about how could I use it to destroy the carriers.
"Can you do that?" Asked Sam, noticing my hesitation.
"Uh, yeah," I said in attempt to sound confident.
"Uh?" Repeated Natasha who raised an eyebrow.
"How hard can it be?" I shrugged, waving away everyone's concerns except for Steve's.
He took notice of how I cracked my knuckles and coiled the loose strand of my bun around my finger. Taking my trembling hand in his own, I gazed into the comforting crystal blue eyes in front of me.
"You've been trained well enough to complete high-threat missions and come back unharmed. This is only a little different. With your abilities, brains, and fighting capability, I have immense faith in you," he whispered, "Besides, we've made it this far together. It's been a pleasure being a fugitive with you. You can't quit on me now."
I giggled, nodding my head, "As long as you don't quit on me when this is all over."
"I wouldn't dream of it, Addy."

As Steve, Sam, and Maria infiltrated the Triskeleon secretly through the emergency staircase, I helped Natasha with her task: kidnapping the council woman she was supposed to pose as.
I walked outside of the Triskeleon entrance, a black baseball cap on my head and a pair of aviators covering my eyes. Waiting for my target, I leaned against the wall and flipped through a magazine.
"Any luck?" Natasha's eager voice rang through my earpiece. "We're running out of time here, Jones."
"Patience is a virtue," I replied coolly.
"Save the positive attitude for later."
Finally, A S.H.I.E.L.D. issued SUV pulled up. The council woman exited the car followed by a single guard leading her towards the entrance.
