After a while, they arrived in front of Jeongin's home and looked at each other with smiles. There was a silent agreement that they had to do it. Chan left the car first, offered his hand and Jeongin took it.
"Really big gentleman," he noted, but Chan just chuckled.
Jeongin remained silent after that and soon they were a step away from entering.
"I'm nervous." Jeongin mumbled.
"Chill." Chan looked at him and he was smiling. "We just got..."
"Engaged? I don't have a ring, Chan! What are we doing now?" Jeongin was slowly panicking.
"Well... You have a ring." Chan looked at his hands. Jeongin did the same.
Holy shit, his hands are that veiny? That looks so hot! Jeongin, concentrate!
"Here!" Chan kneeled in front of Jeongin and his eyes were pinned on the younger ones. "Will you marry me, Yang Jeongin?"
Jeongin's heart skiped a beat. And he had no idea why he felt that at this moment.
"Yes, I will!" Jeong smiled and Chan got up, put the ring on Jeongin's finger and faced the door.
"Let's go and spread the world, starting with your family."
Jeongin unlocked the door and pushed it open. His hand was intertwined with Chan's, and he hoped for the best outcome. They got inside, Jeongin was more than nervous. Entering the dining room, everyone looked at them, holding hands.
"Jeongin," his father got up, ready to say something.
"Good evening, mom, dad, Mr. and Mrs Seo, Changbin, Iseul." Jeongin looked at Chan for a moment.
"Jeongin, who's that man?" His father dared to ask.
"Why are you holding hands with him?"
"Dad," Jeongin started, but he had no idea what to say. It was as if all of the words he could use to start this conversation had just disappeared. In this chaos that happened right there, he couldn't stop looking at Seo's son, who's eyes were pinned on his now fiance.
"I'm Chan. Jeongin's fiance." Chan said and bowed with a big grin. "It's nice to meet you, all of you!" He smiled.
"Fiance?" Mrs. Yang couldn't believe it. "Fiance?!"
"So, I guess it's over, huh?"
"May I..." Chan started, but decided to speak right away. "Okay, I know this is out of nowhere, but I met Jeongin four months ago while I was on a vacation. Hwang Hyunjin introduced me to him, I knew Hyunjin personally before that. We went out on a couple of dates and then I had to leave because I am the CEO of Bang&Lee corporation."
Why is he lying that much? Jeongin was trying to process the information. He was jobless and he needed the money... Little did Jeongin know, Chan wasn't lying that much.
"Jeongin, since when are you gay?" his father asked.
"Since forever." Jeongin uttered looking for a moment towards Chan.
"I don't believe it. You're doing it so you won't marry Iseul. If you were gay, I would've known that already!" Changbin got up, his voice was harsh.
"I heard that you want to marry him to a Woman who he doesn't even know. So I came back as soon as I could to propose to him." Chan continued. "I would've asked to meet you, but I felt like if I don't do it now, Jeongin won't be able to escape from this wedding plan and... I..." Chan stuttered. He bowed again and apologized. "I'm sorry! Mr. and Mrs. Yang, Jeongin and I have been together for a couple of months now, but during this time, I've grown to love him so deeply. I wanted to come to you both out of respect for your family and to honor tradition, but I thought this was the better way. I would like to ask for your permission to marry him. May I have your blessing? I promise to always take care of him and support him in every way I can."
