Chapter 48 :
Love and Trust

The whole car ride, Rishabh kept one hand on his thigh, his veiny arms on full display. Sejal couldn't help but notice. "You have such sexy, masculine arms," she complimented, her eyes lingering on his biceps.

Rishabh, lost in his thoughts, missed what she said. "What was that?"

She smiled and repeated herself. "I said you have sexy, masculine arms."

He chuckled, glancing at her with a flirtatious grin. "Oh really? Well, thank you. You like them, huh?"

She flirted back without hesitation, "I do. They're very impressive."

As she looked out at the road, they started to ascend a steep, hilly path. "Where are we going?" she asked, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

"Trust me," he said with a reassuring smile. "If I know a place, it means I know a beautiful place."

She nodded, still a bit anxious as the darkness of the night surrounded them. In the rearview mirror, she noticed a few cars following them, which made her more nervous. She reached over and held Rishabh's hand, intertwining their fingers for comfort.

They finally arrived at a secluded spot. Rishabh turned on the car lights, illuminating the beautiful view of the city below. The city lights sparkled like stars, and they were surrounded by serene trees and shrubs.

Sejal was mesmerized. "It's beautiful," she whispered.

Rishabh came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and sliding his hands under her sweatshirt to feel her warm skin. She leaned back against his chest, feeling his warmth and strength.

He turned her around and kissed her gently, their foreheads touching afterward. They stood in silence, the moment perfect. Then, he lifted her effortlessly onto the car bonnet, smiling at how light she was. He stood between her legs, turning to face the city lights.

She placed her hands on either side of him on the bonnet, but he picked them up and wrapped them around his neck. She clung to him, feeling secure and close. "Where are we?" she asked.

He joked, "You wouldn't be able to pronounce it."

She narrowed her eyes playfully. "Try me." He said the name in Spanish, and she repeated it perfectly.

"See, I told you I could do it!" she said, proud of herself.

He kissed her palm. "You're really good at that baby."

His touch sent shivers down her spine. She remembered the time she had done the same to him, wondering if he had felt the same way-goosebumps, butterflies, and a fluttering heart. His gentle touches now made her smile and feel shy.

He started tracing random patterns on her hands, talking about how calm he felt. "Right now, I'd usually be in business meetings, working and getting tired from all the tasks. As a CEO, there's so much to handle."

She agreed, "And I'd be busy as a project manager, managing reports, assigning tasks. We wouldn't have time for ourselves."

He kissed her palm again, reassuringly. "You'll do a great job bacha. You're already handling everything so well. There's nothing you can't do. I believe in you."

Her heart fluttered at his words, feeling a deep sense of comfort and affection. They stayed that way for a while, enjoying the moment and each other's company, the city lights twinkling in the background like a promise of countless beautiful nights to come.

Sejal suddenly asked, "Did you ever have feelings for Meera di?"

Rishabh stopped playing with her fingers and turned around, his face suddenly close to hers. She instinctively moved back a little.
