Naomi stepped into the shower to get ready for her meetup with Chris. She could already feel some nerves, but she was mostly hopeful.

Him reaching out must've meant he saw the Cancelled podcast episode and wanted to talk it through with the girl.

She did an everything shower, which took her extremely long. But she wanted to feel her absolute best, so the only thing she'd have to worry about would be making up with Chris.

When she got out, she put on a nice outfit and did her skincare routine. After that, she put on some light makeup and saw it was already time to leave.

She grabbed a coat and her purse, and then put on her shoes.

"Bye, Elle!" she yelled.

"Bye babe, good luck!" the other girl yelled back from her bedroom.

"Thank you!"

The girl closed the door behind her. She walked up to the bar and saw the boy already sitting there, waiting for her.

She went to join him at the table he was sitting at, and saw a cookies and cream Frappuccino ready for her. He had a black coffee in his hands.

"Thank you," Naomi spoke as she sat down and pointed at the drink in front of her.

"No worries," he gave a small smile back. "Hope you like that drink."

"I do."

A few seconds of silence, the girl didn't want to take the word because she wanted to hear him out first.

"I saw the podcast with Tana and Brooke," he finally spoke. "I didn't know he cheated."

"Well, nobody knew except for Estelle. I was too embarrassed to let people know that I got cheated on."

"It has nothing to do with you, though," the boy reassured her.

"Yeah, maybe not."

"I understand a little more now." He took a sip of his coffee, not daring to looking her in the eyes. "But you could've just told me what you were worried about instead of doing that stupid hot girl summer thing."

"I know," the girl responded while looking down. "I really regret it. I guess I just got carried away in that feeling of insecurity because of Tara. Not that that's an excuse. But it might be an explanation."

"It is. I really want to see where this goes, though," he now looked up to meet her gaze.

"Me too," was the response he got, and it made him smile.
