I feel the sunlight on my face, warm and bright. I open my eyes and see that I still have my arms wrapped around his waist, my head buried in his neck. I look up at him, his face calm and relaxed. "Good morning darling" he says, running his fingertips through my hair. "Good morning" I reply. I roll over slightly, yawning and putting my hands on my face.
"Ugh...what happened?" I mumble. "You were drinking at the party last night" I drop my hands from my face in shock. "I what?!?" I almost scream, staring at him. I think back to the night before, I didn't mean to drink at all...not even a little. I must've been very drunk...oh gosh what did I say?
I feel his arms around my waist, pulling me in to lean against his torso. "Hey, it's okay...no big deal" he says, running his hands through my hair in attempt to calm me. "What did I say? How did I get home? I-" I can feel the anxiety creeping into my brain as I try to remember anything I can.
"Your friend brought you home, she was completely sober. I took care of you and then you fell asleep, no big deal" He continues to run his fingers through my hair, as I think about everything he had said. "Did I say anything dumb?" I look at him, seeing a change in his facial expression. "Not really...you were just...a lot more...confident?" He looks at me, trying to explain what he means. "I can tell you're really in love with me I guess" He laughs to himself, thinking back on what had happened. "Oh gosh-" I groan, putting my face in my hands.
"Don't worry about that now though okay? Everything is fine" He wraps his arms around my waist, resting my head on his shoulder. I sigh, my hands on my face. "This is so embarrassing" I mumble. He laughs, putting a piece of my hair behind my ear.
