I felt a shift underneath me, waking me up. I open my eyes to meet Conan's. "Sorry" he says, pulling his arms tighter around my waist. "It's okay" I reply. He's quiet for a moment as he looks into my eyes. Suddenly I see a tear form in his eyes, but he blinks them away.
"Im sorry" I say. What was I thinking? Did I really even want to die? I mean, I loved Conan, and my friends, and music, and...I had things to live for. This was all so confusing. And I hadn't meant to hurt him. "You don't need to be. But-" he trails off. I look at him with asking eyes.
"Please talk to me. I'm always here for you. And...I always want you to talk to me...I can't lose you" he whispers the last part. "Okay" I respond. "It really does affect me. I mean, you saw me last night...I thought I was going to lose you and...and-" he stutters, tears starting to form again.
I place my hands on his cheeks, wiping away a tear that had fallen. "I know. But I've realized that I don't want to go, and...I can't lose you either" I say, smiling. He smiles back while wiping his eyes.
I roll over slightly, moving my arms around his neck. He rests his head in my shoulder, breathing softly and closing his eyes. I loved being with him, and near him. It brought me so much happiness. I would always have to deal with pain, that was part of life. But as long as I had Conan, I knew I would be okay.
He shifts slightly again, pulling himself closer to me. I move a piece of hair out of his face and kiss him lightly on the forehead as he lets out a sigh. He tilts his head upwards, eyes still closed as he kisses the bottom of my jaw lightly.
I let out a slight giggle. He opens his eyes and looks at me, a pouty look on his face. "What?" he asks in a playfully annoyed tone. I look at him, his eyes so beautifully brown. "You're so cute" I say, smiling. He can't help but smile back, looking at me adoringly.
"I guess I am pretty cute" he says. We both laugh a little, and it feels like nothing even happened yesterday. He closes his eyes once more, resting against my shoulder. I hear his breathing slow as he falls back asleep.
