Sophie clung to Keefe's hand as he clomped down the stairs. She could feel her palms turn clammy and her heart beating loudly, as she saw Biana and Linh run straight to her and Keefe. "Sophie and Keefe, we're so sorry! We shouldn't have stayed there, not doing anything! Please forgive us!" Biana and Linh both begged as their faces twisted with remorse. Sophie nodded and gave them a half-smile as they tackled her with a hug.
"Awwww, group hug!" Keefe grinned as he joined the hug. Sophie ignored him and instead focused on Biana and Linh.
"I just gotta ask one thing, though," Sophie said to both of them.
"Sure," Linh said as she pulled away from the hug.
"Did you guys practice that apology? You guys were so in sync, I thought you were, like, creepy twins," Sophie laughed. Keefe started laughing with her, as Biana and Linh shook their heads and joined in their laughter.
"I already have a creepy twin named Tam," Linh rolled her eyes.
"I'm not creepy!" Tam appeared out of nowhere. He glanced at Biana and then said, "Hey, Sophie. Hey, Keefe. I'm..... sorry," he mumbled.
"What? I can't hear you, Bangs Boy!" Keefe said as he draped his arm around Sophie's shoulder.
"I said I'm sorry!" Tam yelled in Keefe's ear. Keefe grinned.
"Sorry for what?" Keefe asked innocently.
Tam rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry for taking Lila's side instead of yours." Biana glanced at him-only for a quick second- and gave him a nod of approval. Tam gave her a quick smile and then turned back to Keefe.
Keefe cleared his throat. "I don't think-"
"He forgives you, Tam!" Sophie jumped in as she shot Keefe a look. He shrugged and gave her a coy smile. Tam smiled.
"Hey-where's Dex?" Keefe asked.
"Oh, he's busy trying to find a hiding spot. When he came downstairs, he treated everyone to mallowmelt, but slipped some laxatives into Fitz and Lila's mallowmelt," Biana explained. Keefe cracked up, while Sophie smiled.
"How did Dex get his hands on laxatives, though?" Linh wondered aloud.
"He got them when he and Keefe convinced me to go to the Forbidden Cities for some more E.L Fudges," Sophie told them.
"That was also the time that Dex and I convinced Foster to take us to DisneyWorld," Keefe smirked.
"You got sick the next day because you ate too much cotton candy and rode TRON 12 times!" Sophie reminded him.
"Well, yeah. But it was worth it, because you stayed with me that night and helped me feel better," Keefe said as he pulled Sophie closer and rested his head on her shoulder. Biana smiled, then looked at Tam. He rolled his eyes, but smiled as she rested her head on his shoulder. Linh saw this and then pouted.
"I wish Wylie was here," she whispered to herself. Almost no one heard her, except Biana.
"OhMYgOSH!!!!" Biana squealed. "YOU AND WYLIE ARE SOO CUTEE!!! HAS HE ASKED YOU OUT YET?????" Linh's soft cheeks flushed as she nodded. "AHHHH! WHEN'S THE DATE???"
Linh rolled her eyes and mumbled, "It's tomorrow at 9:00..."
Biana squealed again and then dragged Sophie and Linh upstairs to finally give them their makeover.
