"How did I get roped into helping with this" Kelsey asked as she walked with Jace, Clary, and Meliorn after Jace called her asking her to come and help.
"You didn't I asked, and you gladly came" Jace said. "Shut up" Kelsey said. "Toto we're not in Kansas anymore" Clary said.
"Welcome to the Seelie Glade, Clary Fairchild the remotest edges of it" Meliorn said. "How did we get here" Clary asked.
"There were entrances all through the mundane world you just have to know where to look" Meliorn said. "And we had to come here to find daddy why is that" Kelsey asked.
"Because if your sister's necklace" Meliorn told her. "It's a portal shard" he said. "Tell us something we don't know" Jace said. "How does it work" Meliorn asked.
"When I touch the crystal, and I think of someone I can see where they are" Clary said.
"I'm curious shadowhunter who knows so much about portals did you never wonder why this portal shard doesn't behave the way normal portals do" Meliorn asked.
"Normal portals can only take you to places you've been I guess I never really thought about it" Jace said.
"I see Isabelle is the smart one in the family your portal shard works the way it does because it's a piece of a portal from another dimension" Meliorn said.
"Another dimension are you for real right now" Kelsey asked.
"You're saying there's a portal in some other universe that can take us to anyone if we just think of them" Jace asked.
"If you can find the only portal still standing in that dimension it will take you to your father" Meliorn said.

"These trees are where the alternate dimensions intersect the Seelie realm" Meliorn said. "How is it possible that the clave doesn't know about your dimensional doorways" Jace asked.
"They are our most guarded secret we are their protectors only Seelies know of their existence" Meliorn said.
"Then why are you telling us" Clary asked. "I owe you a life debt and I don't like being told indebted to anyone" Meliorn said. "What would happen if" Kelsey started to ask when Meliorn interrupted.
"The Seelie Queen finds out I've shared this with you I could be executed" Meliorn said. "Well, we'll be extra careful then" Jace said.
"There is no we in this scenario only Clary goes in to find the portal my debt is to her" Meliorn said.
"I should've known this would happen you Seelie's are all the same" Kelsey said shaking her head.
"You've given us no reason to trust you Seelie" Jace told Meliorn. "He brought us here" Clary said as Meliorn used his powers. "I knew Seelie's were one with nature but" Clary said.
"This will establish a connection to the other dimension" Meliorn said. "What's it like the other dimension is it like this one" Clary asked.
"It is but it isn't" Meliorn said. "Could you be more, vague" Jace asked. "It is an alternate timeline in a sense there Shadowhunter's and demons no longer exist" Meliorn said.
"And downworlders have conformed to the mundane way of life to avoid detection" Meliorn said.
"Well at least I still exist I suppose with being a half downworlder and all" Kelsey said shrugging.
"What happened to the Shadowhunter's" Clary asked.
"Their services were no longer required because they won the war against the demons centuries ago once they sealed the rifts between their worlds their culture faded away once you arrive in the alternate dimension you will assume the body of the Clary in that world you will think and feel just like her" Meliorn said.
