"Sorry I'm late I've been looking everywhere for Max has anyone seen him" Izzy asked.
"No not recently" Kelsey said. "Have you tried the armory he's probably sharpening his blades for his first assignment" Jace said. "I checked" Izzy told him.
"We have more pressing matters thanks to Dot's help we now have the mortal mirror" Alec said.
"And you have it at the institute, and it's well guarded I presume" Sebastian said.
"The Ellie guards are the only ones who know its location it's safest that way" Alec said. "Better with them than us" Kelsey said.
"Johnathon went after Elliot and Dot to get the mirror now that he knows we have it he's going to come back for it" Clary said.
"Agreed report back with any possible scenarios by which Johnathon and Valentine could attempt a breach" Alec said. "Okay" Jace said and left as everyone went their separate ways.

"I tried using an Iratze rune to wake him but nothing's working" Izzy said. "Poor Max" Kelsey said as Alec walked in. "What happened" Alec asked.
"I don't know I found him like this in my room" Izzy said. "Oh my god Max" Clary said.
"We should send him to Idris see what they can do" Alec said.
"The medics said that in his condition he won't be able to survive the transfer" Izzy said. "Max" Jace said as he walked in with Sebastian.
"We checked the institute's security camera footage whoever attacked him is somehow covering their tracks" Jace said. "Has he been able to talk" Sebastian asked.
"Not yet" Kelsey said. "He's unconscious I don't understand who would want to hurt him" Izzy asked.
"I don't know but I'm going to find out" Alec said. "Hey, hey look get Robert and Maryse here the rest of us we'll find out who did this" Jace told Alec.
"Yeah, I'll stay with Max if he regains consciousness perhaps, he can id his attacker" Sebastian said.

Kelsey walked over to Alec and saw him worried as she slowly made her way to him.
She put her hand in his shoulder, and he slowly held her hand.
"He's going to be okay hey I promise okay we will find out who did this" Kelsey said and Alec nodded.

"What did you find" Sebastian asked. "The box my mom used to keep Johnathon's things in" Clary said.
"It was right where Izzy found Max" Jace said. "I remember Max had his eyes on it he was so determined to prove himself" Alec said.
"I say he might have found a way to use the box to track Johnathon" Kelsey said.
"Wait all of this would mean that Johnathon found a way to get inside the institute without us even knowing" Sebastian said.
"Well he's Valentine's son we were trained to do the impossible" Jace said.
"If Johnathon attacked Max and he came for the mirror" Clary said. "He wouldn't have left here without it Alec he could still be in the building" Jace said.
"Listen we have to confirm he's still inside" Alec said.
"We saw what the real Johnathon looks like he will be glamoured as one of our own" Jace said. "Hiding in plain sight" Kelsey said.
"Okay, okay Sebastian, I want you and any other personnel on supplemental guard duty effective immediately the institute's, on lockdown" Alec said as Clary, Jace, and Izzy went their separate ways.
